Prices starting to rise
This came up in a different thread,so I did some checking. Dance prices seem to be rising after many, many years.
Quick phone survey for standard floor dance prices
Rick's cabaret in ft worth $25
Spearmint Rhino $25
Rick's DFW $20
Cab East $20
Silver city $30 but the girl on the phone was not sure.
Men's club $20
Bucks and Bucks wild $20
Will check others as I have time.
Looks like a few clubs are testing higher prices. It they see little effect on business, I would expect many other clubs will go to $25 or risk losing the dancers to clubs where they can change more. Not that simple,of course, but does look like the SC's could be getting more expensive soon. Rick's will soon own over 10 clubs a in DFW. If they support higher dance prices in all their clubs, look for the rest to follow suit.
Frankly, I am surprised it has not already happened. Been more that 30 years since dances went to $20.
No idea what's dances run in other areas of the country.
About the only thing we can do as patrons is let managers know we will have less to spend on booze if we have to pay more for dances. And tell them every time you go in.

After more thinking, I am amazed they have not already gone up. Clubs have been raising the fees to the dancers, inflation is crazy, and less guys in the clubs from 20 years ago for a lot of reasons. Yet they still make the same per dance. I don't think the club really cares as they don't typicaly get any of the dance price directly. But, I can see pressure from the dancers to support higher dance prices to offset the increased cost of living and and doing business.
I don't like the idea of higher prices any more than anyone else, but looks like an increase in coming. Hopefully not more than $25. Maybe a small increase will bring some better talent back to the clubs

$20 a dance is honestly still too much for barely 2 mins

Irrelevant. And if you really think $20 is too much,I am guessing you don't go enough to matter

Yeah you’re right. I figured out about 10 years ago and about 15 years too late my money can be better spent elsewhere if I wanna have fun

I wonder if the dancers are getting the whole $20. I remember going to Rhino several years ago and getting $25 dances in a little cubicle. Club took $5 per dance.

I know the clubs I go to don't have enough customers (day shift) to justify a price increase. I've been going regularly for over 10 years and there has been a steady decline in customers during that time. VIP prices have gone up, as have extras, so it's going to be interesting to watch if the clubs all move to $25.

Nothing wrong with that at all. Unless your just the casual, once in a blue moon goer, then it can get expensive fast.
I have been going for a very long time. I am pretty good at getting my money's work at the clubs. Still get burned from time to time but generally feel I get what I am looking for when I spend my money.

I am talking about standard floor dances. Reserved areas, vip, etc can raise the prices. But the baseline dance has been $20 for over 30 years. And all the thingsy9u mentioned are reasons for uping dance prices. Not advocating it by any means but it has to happen someday and the signs are there.
If they go up, I will start telling the dancers they can fewer drinks or fewer dances

Heard door prices will be $ 10.00 starting in Feb at the Baby Dolls clubs. Not sure if that is accurate because they would need to offer drink specials then.

For $10 cover during the day with no drinks specials, Baby Dolls just committed suicide.
They already don't have drinks specials and happy hour except for the 3rd Wednesday of each month they have the $2 you call it beers and single shot cocktails.
I bet Rick's will also take away the free lunch buffet and 4 pm to 8 pm buffet that's is on 6 days a week.
