Governor Brownback of Kansas has signed a bill prohibiting Sharia law or any other foreign law to be used in Kansas, wonder how long it will take the courts to overturn this?

You do reach some strange conclusions based on the same information that others see go in a different direction.

I think that it is a good idea that the state of Kansas recognizes only Kansas laws, and the laws of the United States.

Any Law that violates the Constitution of the United States would in due time be declared Unconstitutional.

Sharia law should already be banned, as far as I'm concerned. The law of the land is the Constitution. If Muslims are not willing to live under the same laws as everyone else, they should go back to whatever hellhole they crawled out of. Living under Sharia law makes life so unbearable that people immigrate out of Muslim countries to find a better life. The irony is that they immediately want to convert their new home to Sharia law.
Several leftists on the Supreme Court have publicly stated that they consider laws of other countries when they make rulings. This statement should get them impeached.

Joe, it is rare to see nonsense in every single sentence of a post. Well done.
Apart from anything else, don't make the mistake of putting all Muslims under one banner.
I took an Iranian and his friend to a ladies football match last weekend, they seemed to enjoy it, they enjoy a drink also.
Sharia law is sometimes used, I understand, to handle family/community disputes which are outside the jurisdiction (i.e. they are too trivial) for the courts. No doubt school boards also make decisions on local community issues.
On my run today I passed an obviously Muslim guy who had a tee short saying:
fiscally republican
politically democrat
sexually liberal
Times are changing.

Do you think that every dispute resolution procedure, used by any religious or community group, should be banned and all disputes resolved solely by the courts? For example if a parent is not paying school fees, or a child is not attending school?
The law of the land is the Constitution.
Really? I'm not sure what this means. The laws evolve, but does the constitution evolve? If you said the laws of the land are subject to the constitution, then maybe we have a debate (on which I am not qualified to participate)

Obvious nonsense.

I think you mean emigrate. This may surprise you, but I know some Muslims living in the US who want to return to their Muslim countries (and families).
The irony is that they immediately want to convert their new home to Sharia law.
No they don;t.
Several leftists on the Supreme Court have publicly stated that they consider laws of other countries when they make rulings.
Please provide evidence or a link. Obviously there are cases (like extradition) where laws of other countries are relevant. Should one extradite a political refugee knowing that they will be tortured and executed?
This statement should get them impeached.
No it shouldn;t.

As I say, remarkable, nonsense in every single sentence.

OK, somebody is going to accuse me of three posts in a row, but....
The muslim friend I referred to above, he is Iranian, a lot of them about, my best friend's wife is Persian (from Pakistan) and Iranians are Persians. Never call an Iranian an arab. She drinks like a fish. Not a drop of religion in her, but she does like the intense songs when she is pissed.
Met another Iranian colleague in London a few months ago, he said most Iranians had left, anybody professional who could make a career had left, there were more Iranians outside Iran than inside.
They both said influences like the internet are changing the mindset of the young.
I chatted to one of them about a television series he had been watching about the UK Tudor monarchs. I said it was interesting times, it was the reformation, people were beginning to read, Europe was expanding, Queen Mary burnt many leading protestants, Islam has not yet had its reformation.
He agreed, and said that there was simply a time gap, Islam's reformation would come.
The only question for me is how to encourage, rather than squash, any tremblings of an Islamic reformation. Labelling them all as terrorist bigots from a hell hole is surely not the best way to proceed.

Your are mistaking antipathy for Sharia law as antipathy toward Muslims. I know Muslims here who would not want Sharia law in the US. They left their country because of Sharia. They want to be free.
If at any time Sharia law conflicts with the Constitution, Federal law, State law, Local law or any American law at any level, the American law must take precedence. Treat Sharia as a custom, subject to the laws of the jurisdiction.
