Default Windows 8 touchpad issues

Hi all, I am on my third laptop in a year! Ugh! So it seems that since windows 8 has come out, I have continuous problems with the mouse jumping all over. As I am typing it will insert intself into the body of whatever I am typing and just pick up typing there. It also often erases and uses back functionality whenever if feels like. I have looked online for fixes which have advised to adjust the mouse speed, and it does not help. It also often adjusts the size of my screen (zoom) whenever it feels like as I am typing. I keep thinking it is how I rest my hands on the touch pad, but even being careful of how I place them, still does not help. This is soooooo frustrating as a simple email can take 3 tries.

Holly, there are several thing I would recommend changing (all the items I have recommended are 100% free, btw).

1) http://www.softpedia.com/get/Windows...chFreeze.shtml This will stop that annoying mouse moving around on your screen.

2) http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/w...e-2be90d55591d This will walk you through the steps to disable your touch screen, should you want to do it.

3) http://www.classicshell.net/ This link will make Windows 8 look and feel like Windows 7. It gives you back your Windows "Start" button and gives you other neat tips and tricks to customize Windows 8 to better suit your needs/wants.

4) https://www.malwarebytes.org/mwb-download/ This is a 100% free virus scanner for your computer, and is 50 times better than Nortons or AVG.

I hope these help you out! Let me know if you need anything else or have any further questions.
