Default Ron Paul Refuses to Endorse Romney - Calls for End of "One Party System"

To the poster who said that it is better to reform the Republican Party from within than to support a third party, and that Ron Paul understood this, maybe better take a listen to Dr. Paul's most recent comments.

Ron Paul correctly states that the two major parties are fundamentally the same, and tools of Wall Street, and are, essentially the same party. He says we don't need a third party, we need a second party. And no, he wasn't referring to the Republicans when he said that.

Yeah, we'll then you ought to find some real books to read. You pull more crazy blogs out of your ass than some others around here stick plugs up theirs.

Can't comment on substance, can you, Assup? You are definitely our "Master Debater".

IB? Little help, here, please? What was that pic you had of Assup? Then we can get to some serious discussion.

Actually, I've long been an advocate of a multi party system and have put forth those points in kinder gentler times. We're probably on the same page on this one, albeit for different reasons.

However, this isn't then, and you're no Jack Kennedy.

So blow me, Archie!

So COG, I assume even if your state would lean Obama you would still vote for Gary Johnson as a matter of principle, right? If not, you're also part of the problem.

COG,

Why doesn't Ron Paul run as a third party candidate? I've never understood why he keeps wasting his time and money running as a republican. He would fare far better on his own.

Philosophically multi-party situations are good--the allow far more opportunities to find a candidate/party to vote FOR instead of the lesser evil.

Unfortunately in practice it requires the different groups to look for areas to cooperate. The mindset now is to look at EVERYTHING as a win/lose game. In a multi-party system if they look to disrupt instead of cooperate the government quickly goes into gridlock.

Ron Paul has run as a third party candidate in 1988 as the Libertarian Party Candidate.

So he can get elected in Texas.

Why did Obaminable run as a Democrat in Illinois, rather than a Socialist?

No convictions?

"New Ground, the newsletter of Chicago’s Democratic Socialists of America, reported in its July/August 1996 edition that Obama attended a New Party membership meeting April 11, 1996, in which he expressed his gratitude for the group’s support and “encouraged NPers (New Party members) to join in his task forces on voter education and voter registration.” "
http://www.wnd.com/2012/06/socialist...as-membership/

It was repeatedly reported he was a New Party member and the New Party praised his successful election to the State Senate in Illinois.

Of course, he has denied it. Like .. it was a movie!

The Ron Paul people are critical to getting out the vote in Wisconsin; more so than any swing state.....Romney could win Wisconsin with a little help from the Ron Paul faction.............

WhirlyTits, is that in the same way Gore could have won Florida in 2000 with a little help from the Ralph Nader faction?

No. Has nothing to do with 3rd party votes cast and everything to do with ground game on election day.
