where are checkbooks?
when I was growing up, my dad had a checkbook
it was 9x14 or so and had 3-4 checks per page and check stubs
so when you wrote a check, you also wrote on the stub amount and a memo
now all i can find is dinky little "BOOKs" the size of a check and have carbon paper or some shit
after you write a check, the carbon paper comes out so you can write the next check., its not very good
since credit cards and billpay I write a check only 2x a month, depending on what the fuck is going on....but where can I find a actual CHECK BOOK?

Those checkbooks are usually associated with business accounts. I had one when I ran my own business a few years back but you have to pay extra. You might be able to get one for a personal account just ask your banker.

I checked with admin and they don't have extras any lying around. You might check with your bank. There may be a cost associated with this type of account if one is even available.

bcpl,
Yes you can order any type you wish.
Including the one you pictured.
Perhaps do a pic search and find where that pic originates.
However, there's probably an upcharge for specific requests.

There called stub checks, and are most associated with business account but can be used for any account. You can order them through any on line check printing company. I still use them because their convenient even though I have retired my businesses.

Try Safegard, or Delux Printing. Both have the desk check formats with three per page and one write systems that help with small business expense accounting systems. I still use the one write system for a couple of small companies with only 1 or two people working for each. They get the rewards, and I handle the accounting problems: invoice the customers, pay the bills, and pay them a bonus for the total income. Not enough to bother putting the payments on the larger accounting systems. At the end of each quarter I take the books to a CPS for the financial statements and bonus calculations. The guys are independent workmen but still have to be straight with the IRS, pay FICA (social security, medicare), IRA retirements, etc.
Just remember to account for all monies, and have a separate bank account for each business. There are a lot of advantages of doing the accounting properly: such as, being able to write off your car expenses for business.

Good info
thanks
I bank with BoAmeria. and can get free checks via them,
but they only have the small checkbooks with carbon paper shit, that is just useless
True, you can use a larger check register to track all your checks, but I wanted the CheckBOOK so I can have the stubs and or register WITH all the checks...so I'm not pulling out a checkbook like I'm a grandma at the grocery story buying a piece of fruit+ENQUIRER magazine.
I got the book via amazon and BOA is sending me checks.. so it works out well
if only I could not ever need actual cash/.

In my business I only accept checks for payment. Some clients have wanted to pay with cc or their phone. Not enough transactions to justify the investment in electronics to facilitate them. Used to use a checkbook like yours years ago, but now everything is laser. Blank checks with only the MCR coding at the bottom. If someone was to steal them, less likely they could forge them.

what is "laser"?
my checks are still the same checks issue by boamerica, but in a different formatt.
this way is easier on me
you don't accept cash?
i understand not wanting to mess with CC or phone payments, but not accepting cash?
no one is gonna steal my checks...I'm not worried about that
