Default Dueling Debt Deceptions

This will prove that the Fact and Myth website is not biased. Obama created almost as much debt as President Bush, and this graph proves it. However, he did not create more debt than President Bush. People erroneously imply Obama created more debt than any other President (Reagan created more); however Bush actually created a little bit more than Obama. It simply looks as if Obama created more because they are adding the Bush deficit to his. The republicans have created a record number of filibusters during Obama's term. That is one reason he was not able to accomplish as much as he wanted to and the reason the White House has been continually gridlocked.

Here's the article showing the graphs:

http://www.factcheck.org/2012/02/due...bt-deceptions/

Before 2009, it was relatively flat. Then, it exploded -- almost entirely in the "held by public" part of the debt.

But if you zoom in a little closer, say, from January 2008 to January 2010, you see something interesting: the fuse was lit before Obama took office. (Note that this graph is only the "held by the public" part of the debt.)

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/...t-in-7-charts/

In the last chart (Washington Post article) it actually shows the percent change in debt between the two Presidents (Bush and Obama). Obama's percent change was much lower.

Four and half trillion versus eight trillion: Odumbo's share of the debt increase is almost twice W's.

You didn't read the article or look at the charts. Obama's deficit was not as much as Bush's, just a bit more. Part of his deficit is actually Bush's. Look at the charts.

A "chart" from 2012 is out of date.
Deal with the reality of TODAY.

and they are all afraid to shut it down.
I am in favor of shutting it down rather than raise the debt limit.
The only way we can stop it is to live within our means.
Most of the government is not mandated by the Constitution and should be abolished.

You realize that the fiscal year runs from oct to oct so the last bush budget ended 9-30-2009. I get about 6 trillion for bush and Obama. The chart doesn't include this years debt which will be another 450 Billion or so. The debt chart doesn't include the fact that bush left us with a 1.2 trillion dollar deficit and massive unemployment. Any reasonable person would expect to run a deficit during a major recession. bush squandered the money on an ill advised war, giving the people very little value for their increased debt load. . Moreover, the chart doesn't show that bush turned $250 surpluses in a $1.2 trillion deficit. Obama will leave the next president with a much better economy than he inherited.

You mean the ill advised war that Hillary voted for? Or the other ill advised war that Hillary voted for?

The surplus was gone by the time Bush II took office. FACT

More bullshit. Record number of people on foodstamps. Record number of people out of the workforce.

The only thing that has kept Obama's economy afloat is JYell continues to print free money. As soon as she start raising rates again, the market will tank.

Hilary voted to give bush the authorization to use force, but that didn't mean he had to use it.She admitted it was a mistake later on. It wasn't Hilary's idea to put the war on the nation's credit card. When will republican take responsibilty for their abject failure on the economy.
Fact: according to the congressional budget office, YOU ARE WRONG

The Budget and Deficit Under Clinton - FactCheck.org

Do you think the # of people not in the labor force has anything to do with the number of babyboomer who have retired in the last 7 years? The ability of people to afford food has increased under the Obama years. According to Gallup 16.4% of people were able to afford food in the FIRST QUARTER OF 2008 ( bush administration) and decreased to 15.8% in 2015. The statistics also discount that with the SNAP program more people were eligible for food stamps.
