Mac Users....... IPAD, gonna get one?

I have always wanted a Kindle because I read all the time, but I'm a Mac.

What a bonus to be out somewhere and finish a book but have hundreds right there to choose from.

I saw a video about the IPAD coming soon. http://www.apple.com/ipad/
and it is like the iPhone but with books, music and photos. I can't wait.

Is anyone going to get one?

at $499, I'll grab one as soon as they hit the market.
I hope it has a good screen protector/carry case for that

I have a kindle and love it. I have had it since September and it is great for my needs. I haven't read much about the new apple offering to know if it is an improvement or not.

Nope!... No Camera, Flash Support, or Multi-Tasking..

I was really hoping for a true tablet with a full operating system, so I could leave my Laptop at home when I hit the road... The iPad just looks like a silly upsized iPhone...

If nothing else wait until the "beta release" is obsolete. Just like the iPhone the first version will be replaced within months by an upgraded version. So let the iDorks camp out in front of the Apple store and buy the hot new iShit, and when the upgrade is released, laugh all the way to the iBank!

It does seem like a bigger version of the touch. Can't say I will rush and buy one.

I want to get one, but will wait for a second or third generation for them to get public feedback and work out the bugs, drop the price, etc. The iphone had a lot of negativity about it when it released, too.

This has been announced several months before you can buy it, perhaps so they can get the feedback and implement suggestions before it hits the market. Also, it's funny how quickly people get jaded over technology. If they hadn't made the iphone or itouch people would be "oohing" and "ahing" this thing right now.

I'm just really ticked that they don't release a product that doesn't stick you with another monthly bill. It would be great if they make it available for use with other service carriers and not force you to use AT&T.
