Default House Election Majority question

Currently 212 GOP 201 Democrats

218 seats is majority which means GOP needs 6 more seats out of the remaining 13 uncalled races

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/202.../house-results

The GOP has already won the majority in the Senate.

If the GOP wins majority in the Housee, that means they will have majority in Congress.

How many Presidents in U.S. History had both Senate and House controlled by their own party, you might wonder?

There are 435 seats total, so 19 left to call if you’re correct about 212/204. The punters give Republicans about a 97% probability of winning the House.

https://electionbettingodds.com/House-Control-2024.html

The Republicans would just need 6 more seats while Democrats need 14, to get the majority.

Trump needs the house.

If it goes Democrat, their first order of business will be to file impeachment orders against Trump.

They have to. It’s simply what they do.

That’s because the Republican senators refused to impeach him back in 2021. He’s guilty of treason against the constitution for inciting a coup.

I hate the fact that he got away with it. He should be in prison right now.

If the republicans control all three branches of government there will be a number of changes that I have a feeling no one will like.

Default Reality bites...

Well... here's the thing about that. Back when you believed you were in the "majority", that might have seemed rational. Today and for the next several years, you are officially in the "minority", with no clear path back to the ever illusive majority of your mind. So there is that...
BTW: We have a crew coming in to measure for new drapes.

That’d be really bad, if there had been a coup.

The House did impeach him. The Senate voted not to convict and remove him. It takes 67 votes to convict and remove from office. That was never going to happen. (He was leaving office any way on Jan 20). None of the 3 impeached presidents in our nation's history (Andrew Johnson, Bill Clinton, Donald Trump) were convicted and removed from office.

Returning to the subject of the OP, it looks like the Republicans are on track to win 222 House seats and the Democrats to win 213 seats, if the leads in the current vote totals hold up.

Hi Nice:

I will be happy for Republicans to win just 6 more so they will have 218.

Real Clear Politics already has the Republicans with 216 seats.
Here's the link you so can see the source that I'm basing my projections on.
