Still, it is all a team effort and all of the branches of the military are required to win a war, aren't they?

First the navy comes in with war ships. The navy planes are sent out to soften the target and dog fight the opponent's own planes.

Then the army goes in to clean up the mess.

Get the government working again and the people back to work.
