Many may not know that we have had an oil boom going on in western North Dakota. Great article about a reporter who worked undercover in a strip club to tell her story.

Thanks WI. This who oil boom in North Dakota fascinates me. A lot of us don't realize that as a result of this, there are a shortage of truck drivers across the country but particularly in the Midwest. The wages they are paying in ND right now for laborers, equipment operators and truck drivers is astronomical, and it's actually adding to inflation for all of us as a result.

The good news, is that it has helped us become more energy independent in the US, though I'm guessing a lot of this will change very soon since oil prices have started to take a freefall. It's possible this boom will soon be a bust. It will be interesting to watch.
