Showing your ID to a provider - yes or no
Another thread has caused me to ask this question.
P411 & Date Check use your ID number and your initials as your identifier. When asked, you are to present those to a provider so she can verify that you are indeed that member.
I've met with a few that have used that check. One well known provider states in her website that she will ask
Dawgs - Does it bother you to show your ID to a provider? If so why?
Ladies - do you ask, at least maybe sometimes?
It doesn't bother me, as long as the ID stays in sight.

If he is a newbie - yes. He would have to show his ID to prove who he is.

unless she says beforehand, nope.
After I have been screened with references verified after she has called them....I feel showing an ID is straight overkill.
However if I did or was expected to show an ID I would cover all info other than my city, first name, and day of birth (she wouldn't see the month and year at all or my address). This stuff of course is a part of the p411 id name anyway.
Out of all the ladies I saw via p411 no one ever asked for my id. I know its highly suggested on the site though.

For me it would depend on the provider. I try to screen providers and only select those that I have met and am comfortable with or those that operate professionally. Women in that group have typically done their job of screening and don't ask for ID even though I would provide it if they wanted. I choose not to take a risk on back page ads and other less reliable sources for provider services.

Like the rest of my junk, I will show mine if they show theirs! Doesn't happen very often. I can think of only three times!

No, I don't have a problem showing my ID. By that I mean, ID stays in my hand and I let the provider look at it. Granted, there is some risk, but unless she has a photographic memory, I think the risk is minimal. BTW, I've only had one provider ask to see my ID.

The only ID I require to see (as it's only the seal I want to see proof of) Is military ID.
I can see the seal from an arm length away (I never touch it) and that's all the proof I need.
As there's too been many men who claim to be military and yet say they were never given an ID card, when asked in person to prove their military. (this I know to be BS).
I take honoring our military, seriously. And one thing I dislike is fakers/liars.
So yes, when it comes to ID. That's one I require to see if you claim your Military. (no exception)

That's why I require of anyone I meet; Well known or not. Is their exact physical description so their ref. can confirm I'm screening the gent they've seen.

Wow, I've never asked to look at someone's ID. I didn't know it was that necessary...

You're in Canada. The screening there is different. Come to Charlotte, NC and don't ask for Identification. I'll just say that won't end well. lol

If the lady clearly says she checks ID, I take a #10 envelope, fit the ID inside and cut squares around the areas she needs to view. She sees nothing else and I keep it in my grubby hot little hands.
And, I expect her to show me hers, also.
I've only prepared the envelope once, but did not need to use it.

I like the idea of if she ask for your id that she should show hers as we'll, only fair. I've only been asked once for id and was only willing to show her my Sam's Club card, hey at least it was a pic ID. I don't think a provider needs to have that kind of personal info to do proper screening unless she plans on blackmailing you after.

If they are a newbie with no references and I went thru all the screening that is required for someone with no references,
I ask to see there id.
I don't have to see the address ,age, or date of birth just the First and Last name and the picture to verify they are who they say they are. I would gladly provide mine to anyone who asks even though that has never happened.
That's my technique , mwah1

Why is that? Then how would one be able to verify that someone says they are who they say they are. I am talking about someone that doesn't have references / have never seen an escort. If they can't show me their ID, I will gladly ask them to leave.
