Today a lady posted in her bp ad that it is supposdly going down. Memphis BP... I think it may be a way to promote a new website. Anyone here heard about that..

BP makes so much money on the Escort ads I find it hard to imagine they'd give that revenue up without a fight.

It is perfectly LEGAL to be an escort.

The problem keeps getting down to underage girls. If the cops prove there are a lot of youngsters they can take down any site. The second, and closely related concern, is the human trafficking issue.

And both of these issues are closely related to another frequent topic of discussion.

Which is why we should encourage more open discussion of these topics. Self-policing would make it less likely that this board would be a target.

I would hate if that happened! I do not advertise there anymore but can you imagine how flooded the boards would be with all of their crap? (pimps, b&s, and more alerts)

I agree, but you've seen what happens when it gets brought up. We can discuss the first two but it will always end up with the third. From that point the conversation always takes the same path.

Well, board ownership will have to determine what is in its best interest: allow the board to become a haven for those folks being targeted, or find a way to identify and turn away the "undesirables". Choosing the latter route is harder, but likely the only way to avoid the unwanted attention.

I personally hope they don't take it down. Its a good site for newbies. A lot of site it takes a lot to establish your self.
