I like pumpernickel but prefer rye. Pumpernickel is usually not the real deal and just uses Carmel food coloring.

However, that sounds like a fine word to use as a safe word

I agree , Rye is much better , but if we are going for taste sourdough on a grilled cheese is the best !

Ding Ding Ding !! Winner winner chicken dinner , Tuckahoe it would be really hard to beat that safe word . That made me laugh out loud when I saw it

Thank you for the link to bread history , I always love to learn history . Bread making is a lost art these days . It is very time consuming but the rewards pays off . I wish I knew how to upload images , I made some of the best homemade bread at Christmas , it was beautiful & tasty
