I am not sure if this is where this should post but I wanted to tell yall so I thought this was the place.

This fellow provider Tia Thompson ( tantalizing tia) here on ECCIE wrote last week and said she would like to build me a website and that she was offering her $400 standard site for ECCIE members at $100 off until Feb 15th. (See her site for other samples of her work and this list of whats in that package...it's alot for the money. )

As a reward to myself for hitting my one year sober milestone I thought a new site would be a great gift to myself. I had been wanting to get rid of my rare escort site because I couldn't use it on BP plus it was not really a reflection of me.

Turns out Tia has been in marketing and building sites for years. Tia has a company called Magnific Media that works just for providers. Since she has also been a provider for several years she seems to have a unique insight into what works. For only $300 she builds you a totally customized site that is as individual as you are..

Plus if you need....she writes ad copy for you and will do some photography and photo editing editing although she'll tell you right off she is no photographer.

Turns out Magnific Media helps with emails if you need and even will answer your calls and screen on an as needed basis. It's like having a personal assistant but only when you need one.

I built my website using Wix.com & I didn't pay someone $400 to do it.

I'm sorry, but unless she's building a website from scratch, I would not spend $400+ for someone to build me a Wix site when all you have to do is sign up yourself & follow their tutorial. It's all very easy. Plus, if you sign up for the Premium membership, which is about 20 bucks a month, you don't have to see the Wix ads on the site...which I noticed on a few of the ones she built.

I'm not trying to be mean. I'm just pointing out that Wix is meant to be used by people who don't want to spend a bunch of money to have a pro website built.

Since I would rather be spending my time doing what I do best (and it's not building websites) , I decided to let someone who really knows what there doing create an upscale, quality, professional site for me do it. Exactly! You got totally ripped off!
For that price you should have an actual domain on YOUR site and not some wix subdomain. You could have had Goodgirl media design your site for that price and your site would have looked way better than that. If she charged you $300 for THAT, then you were hustled. Hate to break it to both of you.

you could have done this yourself by going to wix.com and saving yourself $300... smh!

Ok I have been trying to stay out of this and just let Ava Feel good about herself and her choices. But now I am being insulted.

I truly stay in the background here on ECCIE because there are certainly some very oppinionated folks here and I have no desire to stir the pot so to speak.... but I feel the need to defend myslf now.


First and foremost I have never ripped anyone off. I offer to build sites for folks who can't or don't wish to learn how to build it themselves. Many don't have the apptitude or don't wish to use there time learning that. They know from the get go I am building it in Wix. I do not decieve anyone.


Second I use wix because it's a great platform for flash sites, it's reasonable for hosting and It enables me, after building and locking everything into place on the site, the ability to offer the choice for the site holder to maintain the site themselves if they wish or I can maintain. Unlike webmasters who hold the site you paid for at $75 or more a page hostage You have to pay them to change your rates, ad photos or make any other change no matter how simple the change. Wix is simple enough once built yes most anyone can make simple changes.

all anyone has to do is put that in their browser with http:// before it and it goes right to the site. and you can have an add free site for 6 buck a month. If you want the domain name to show up in the browser you simplay pay twice that.

Fourth I show them how to have a site without having to spend $20 a month on hosting, have a domain, and no wix ads. I let them make the choices.

And Finally... Every site I build is built from scratch. It is not just a template with the words replaced and different photos. Backgrounds and flash elements are researched and customized. I research to find just what the person is looking for when wanting to build them their site. I want a site as individual as they are.
I spend on average any where from 30 to 40 hours start to finish including the interview process to build these sites. Now It seems to me you lady's time is worth upwards of $200 & $300 an hour... so I think my $300 - $400 for spending 30 or 40 hours doing something for someone that I truly take seriously and make every effort to fulfill their expectations is quiet fair.

Also anyone I have ever approached to do this for has the right to decline but they have always felt they got what they wanted and were fairly compensated for the money they spent.

BUT...Mostly Ava just wanted to get something for herself that she could not do for herself and feel good about it. I don't think we need to poo poo on her parade and make her feel stupid by saying she got ripped off. She is excited about her new lease on life...Lets be excite for her too!

Now I don't say that what I do is for everyone...Many of you want to build your own site and that's great... I am just here to help those who want what I offer.... Just like yall.
