Screening
For whatever reason I get a bit irritated when being screened by a some providers and they ask the question "so what do you do for a living"
Last I checked I am contacting a provider. WTF difference does it make what I do for a living, rather I'am a ditch digger or a DR. either case does not deems me a axe murderer or a upstanding system? As long as I am respectful have the resourses to pay the donation; that should be all that matters. I am a proffesional gentlemen and well spoken can you really determine my character based on my carrer?
Is it just me or does that question irritate others?
Hobbyist your comments please.

She doesn't want to hear you say "I'm Captain of the local Vice Squad"...
Seriously, if you're not comfortable telling her what you really do for a living, just make something up...

There was another thread on this (I may have even started it). Consensus is the ladies are just making conversation. They don't want to know specifics...you can even lie if you want. Know one wants to know that you are Dr. Smith covering the 2nd shift at St. David's ER.
If you're in the medical field, pick something relatively close. You might want to just say you're a consultant. That could mean bookkeeping. It could mean computers. Consultant options are endless.

It's just conversation. Also, I've been screened by one wanting a business card showing I do something other than police work! P411 uses your work info to verify you. Lying is perfectly acceptable if your not comfortable.

It's not your answer we want to hear, we don't care what you do for a living other than to help make small talk. It's the inflection of your voice when you give you answer is what we're listening to.

I agree, it's just conversation, and I've had clients ask me if I did anything else besides escorting, to which I say truthfully, personal training. As a client though, since your discretion is more on the line than mine, like others said, make something up.
What amazes me though are some of the ladies' websites that ask for everything including a social security number, place of employment, home address, etc etc etc. Do men really answer all that??

I beg to differ with some of the other responses.
Companions ask for your employment information for one purpose only...Screening. They are not asking you for this information for the sole basis of striking up a conversation!
If your a good standing member and vouched for by several companions on P411, Date-Check and or RS2K, you should not be obligated to release this privy information. In addition, if your a member who contributes to the community on a regular basis AND you participate by writing current reviews....again, you shouldn't be obligated to release your employment information...if the ladies are well known and reputable.

Get used to it. If you don't have reputable references or belong to a screening service, you need to be able to prove you're not a cop. This sounds like common sense to me, but obviously, some guys don't get it.
Any reputable lady who is a good at screening is going to ask you about your employment. I call the gent at work if he doesn't have ref's or belong to a legitimate screening service.
Keep in mind, this is for MUTUAL safety. You don't want to see an escort who doesn't care.

A provider who doesn't care may be working for LE, having been previously nabbed.

I usually only ask to make conversation and I don't think I've ever had a client who was irritated by me asking. They usually just answer the question - lie or not.

I never ask an easily screened man where he works. As far as the kind of work you do, it's a different thing. It's all about making a connection in some way.
In my real life, and as a woman? It is very irritating. I tell them I work at McDonalds. I'm on fries this week.
