Straight Talk available at Walmart. 📲
After being financially raped by Verizon, for almost 5 years, I finally canceled my accounts. The final straw was continually going over my web allowance at $15/GB in overage charges, no matter what plan I upgraded to.
I had heard that I could activate my Verizon iPhone 5 thru Straight Talk, even though they do not advertise to be Verizon compatible. So for $45/month Unlimited everything ($65/month Unlimited Intl. ) I took a chance. It cost $65 for the SIM card, and my first month of Unlimited. You can choose to auto pay each month, or manually pay. You must order the SIM thru the straighttalk.com website. Now thru 5/13 it's free Overnight FedEx Shipping.
I received my card yesterday. It is a standard size SIM, and the iPhone requires a nano size. I went into panic mode thinking I had been duped! After a quick Google search, and a 3 min instructional video on YouTube, I trimmed the card down to size, popped it in, and well.... Here I am posting this Thread, with my iPhone.
How's the service you ask? Well they all use each others towers, and presently I'm driving up near the Adirondack's, with full service!

I've got a somewhat older android phone for Verizon. I'll have to check and see if I can access the sim. If so I'll get a non ghetto hobby phone out of it!
Thanks for the tip!

I have a new Droid Razr. The problem is they are not GSM unlocked phones. Even though you can access the SIM, the network settings will prevent activating on another network.
There is a procedure called "Flashing". You can watch videos on YouTube, instructing you how to do it. It doesn't always work.
I have another SIM card arriving today. I'm going to give this a shot. Ill keep you posted as to if it works or not.

Tekitalk.com 💻
If you go to tekitalk.com, they offer phone Flashing services for a fee, but they guarantee it to work. Not only for Straight Talk, but many other Pre-Paid companies.

I have never heard great things about Sprint or AT&T service areas, or lack there of.

I saw the thread referred to Walmart and I thought it was going to be about the other services offered at Walmart
