ERR_SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHER_MISM ATCH ??

i’m using Penguin v5.2.2 on iPhone (iOS 11.2.6) and have been experiencing this error for a few weeks.
anyone else experiencing it?
anyone found a solution or workaround or just accept & move on??

1. start penguin, enter m.eccie.net and go there.
2. touch “login” action
3. enter username & pswd, touch “login”
4. eccie says “thx for logging in” then does the redirect.
5. this error displays:
Error 113 (net::ERR_SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHE R_MISMATCH) when loading URL
https://m.eccie.net/pleaselogin.php
6. my workaround is to go to address box, enter “m.eccie.net” then go to that page.

also, if i touch a link to a showcase/bio, member profile page, or another thread; or start a thread, update one of my posts (like this post), or submit a reply on a thread, i get a similar error (the URL reflects the page i was on). when submitting or updating a post, i go back to the original page, refresh, and all is there.

i dont get this error when navigating ourhome2.net or p411 or other websites (hobby & non-hobby).

Have you tried using the full version of the site as opposed to the mobile version?

upon going to eccie.net (full version), eccie or some server in-between says:
"Error 113 (net::ERR_SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHE R_MISMATCH) when loading URL
https://eccie.net/"

so, that's a no-go :^{
