Linkedin? Anyone ever use it in the Hobby?

Has anyone ever used LinkedIn in the Hobby in some way?

I've seen one with a Linkedin acct. But I don't think she's active now. Her profile is still there though.

Only when a new friend is needing to be screened by identity/ employment verification and he suggests that I double check his account on there.

I use it to help with verification purposes. I didn't know they could see who viewed their profile at first, ooops!

I use it as a suppliment. It is way too easy to create a fake profile there. Same with Facebook. I would never use it for advertising.

I've allowed gents to use it in combination with another form of screening. I personally will only consider it (again along with another method) if he has several hundred professional connections.

I use it for screening work references. I much prefer provider references but sometime women can be difficult.
