As the Obama Presidency is engulfed in scandal, conservatives are thinking the I-Word.

No you haven't seen this thread. What you've seen are "Impeach" threads, this one is a " Don't Impeach" thread.

lofty goal, hows that workin out ?
the article also mentions Clinton fatigue ..

Impeachment by Republicans isn't good strategy anymore. Let the Democrats destroy him, there are signs of that already. There's always the burnout syndrome. The Republicans did it in eight years with Bush, and now the Democrats will see the same thing with Obama. This country hardly needs to be changed in the vision that Obama has. Countless people are starting to realize that. This administration already has a noose around it's neck and they are slowly tightening it on their own. Bush didn't accomplish anything and Obama hasn't accomplished anything. What can Hillary Clinton accomplish in 2016 that these other two idiots couldn't. This country needs new vision, not more of the same silly ass bullshit.

if you think Team Clinton isn't going to take articles like the above, and remind everyone the republicans were more interested in crushing the dems than they were doing something about the economy, youre sadly mistaken. WitchHillary will blow through the GOP candidate like a tsunami through a screen door in 2016, even if the GOP can find one
as long as the right takes focus on bad dem this, bad dem that, and withdraws from the major issues that interest voters in general, the right wont see another president again .. and rightly so, apparently theyre too stupid to see through anything but partisan hatred.
carry on

The article is spot on. Impeachment is an idiotic idea. But you can't convince partisan hacks like Whirly about that.
Whirly and other like to carp about how Slick Willy was impeached, but really, what was the long term harm to him and the Democrats? They lost to Dubya, but they won back the Senate in less than 8 years. A failed impeachment didn't do anything to ruin Bill Clinton in the media's eye and a filed won't do anything to Obama either. And don't kid yourself about the odds of removing him. It will NEVER happen with the Democrats controlling the Senate.
Let Obama twist in the wind and let more and more eruptions of stupidity from his administration tarnish his legacy. We aren't even 6 months into his second term and he has already gotten more bad press than he did in his entire first term.
There will be plenty of Obama fatigue by 2016 and if the economy still sucks after 8 years of trillion dollar deficits, Hillary doesn't stand a chance, no matter how often CJ7 jerks off thinking about it.

I guess you haven't been reading the papers lately.
Can you give us an example of the Democrats "leaving [the GOP] the hell alone"?
