I'm certain we don't need anything further to escalate tensions with Iran in general. There are enough loose canons out there, which are just waiting to get into a war, and fight all of the middle east. I'm not sure there is a good place /stance on Iran outside of holding them accountable with actions and money whom they support- when it comes to financial support of terrorism.

Billions of their own money which was frozen.....and by law forced to be returned. We didn't give them anything they didn't already own. Now- I think the optics was bad, but it wasn't OUR money they gave- it was access to their own money. Why it was in cash is really the biggest question for me- Why not a wire transfer vs. cash in hand?

I agree that sending cash was stupid, and terrible optics-but was likely due to the administration freezing assets when they are digitally on hand or in an international account. Its' the way our country siezes assets that has given countries a side eye towards us.

But you're believing it's NOT their money is a ruse of those who want to try to change the narrative and facts. Facts are it's their cash.

Not being silly- just specific. As far as what they did with it, I'm fairly certain it would not be anything western thinking would appreciate, and likely is nefarious in some way. Culturally, the leadership of that country is run by zealots and strict Islam following:

In 2023, Iran was ranked as the eighth most difficult place in the world to be a Christian and scored zero out of four for religious freedom. According to Vatican News, there is no religious freedom in Iran, and in 2022.


When you have an official state religion- you know its' gonna be a repressive bunch of fuckers- who think about the bounty of virigins they get by being martyrs. Essentially bred to hate, and zero capacity for other beliefs.
