Porn losing its appeal

According to an article coming from Playboy Magazine Inc, porn is losing its appeal, the porn industry has been losing revenues every year for quite sometime now, playboy had over 5 million subscribers just a few years ago and now they barely have 800,000, strip clubs have less customers and that contributes to lesser talent, demand for lap dances is very low and overall it seems like porn as a business is going downhill.

We have a theory as of why this is happening but would like to read yours first so feel free to chime in

I know that I am much less interested in porn and certainly strip clubs now that I have found this forum.

When you have gone to strip clubs in Mexico like I have, Texas strip clubs will always suck hind tit. Strip clubs in Mexico are strip clubs/brothels where you can pay to partake of/have sex with the chica of your choice. Texas strip clubs are just Pure Fantasy. It costs $20 just to enter a strip club in Corpus Christi. Then you have expensive over priced drinks, they charge $4 to $4.50 for a plain Coke-no alcohol. Paying $20 minimum a song for a table dance/lap dance to get a set of blue balls is just not my cup of tea. Once in a blue moon I will go to the Palace, usually late night after seeing some live music.

It's part of the evolution of technology just like other things that have become obsolete with everyone having a smartphone and free porn like everyone else has mentioned who wants to purchase a magazine.

Paying for porn has lost it's appeal, but porn is here to stay.

As far as strip clubs, who wants to pay for blue balls? Sure some strippers do extras, but it's less of a sure thing than the hobby.

The advent of free porn makes little sense to buy the magazine anymore for most people except for those who like the magazine for other than the pics. I liked it because sometimes a famous or soon to be famous woman would pose and they always had extremely good looking girls as their models. I wonder if cyberplayboy.com will cease to exist. That one has nothing but hot ass women nude and you can go back and see every model that has ever posed and never before seen pics. Before eccie, I was hooked on revisiting Playmates that I grew up jerking off too...good times. LOL

Basically they will still have sexy pics or implied nudity but not full blown like before. They are just moving with the times and being more accessible to more people and more countries where nudity is frowned upon. The Playboy logo is recognized around the world so they plan to use that to appeal to the younger generation, 18-30 y/o that are up and comers in the business world that want to read about fine liquor or stylish clothes. Kinda like GQ or Esquire (is that still around. LOL)
