Default dog lovers

I just lost my 19 year old best buddy this week. chizzy was my baby, got her at 8 weeks old only to find out she was deaf from birth. She turned out to be the smartest dog I have ever owned. total uncondition love and loyalty till the day she died. I'm not afraid to admit I cried like a little girl for the next day about losing her. quite frankly, except for the death of my father, I cant remember hurting as much for any person leaving this earth

my question to other dog lovers and non dog lovers both is......... is it weird to put that much love and caring for an animal in your life compared to how you feel about some people?

your thoughts

Animals are more loyal, and void of cruel intentions

Sorry for your loss bud

Dogs rock. Had to put my Golden Retriever down about 7yrs ago. That was tough. Now I got a killer Yorkie. Didnt think Id take to a dog like that. But the level of loyalty is the same. Good thing I don't get the paper anymore. No way the Yorkie could bring it in. She would die trying tho.

I'm not sure about the cruel intentions part. Try to harm my SO when her Pit Bull is around her. You will definitely experience some cruel intentions.

Chizzy, sorry to hear about the loss of one of your best friends.

I'm so sorry to hear about your dog Chizzy.

And no, your feelings are not weird at all, my dogs mean the world to me and I'm dreading the day when they have to go.
You have my sympathies.

Sorry bout your loss. There is probably another little chizzy who's been waiting for an adoption to help you through the emotions and loss

Chiz, you're lucky to have had him that long. I REALLY know what you're going through. I'm now living with my 3rd black lab. He's old, mostly blind and a diabetic. I give him insulin twice a day. I love him and he loves me, what more can I ask. My 1st dog was Duke, next was Big Jake, All my dogs are named after John Wayne, That's why my handle is jw. I know I'll be losing my dog soon too. I'll get another one from a shelter when that day comes. I could not live without one. I'll name him Rueben, after Rooster Cogbern. Read this and I hope it helps, I truly believe it.

Rueben was the son of Jacob in the bible. Wish I would have bred Big Jake
