The 150 Million dollar failure!!!!!!
You know during the recent white House Correspondence Dinner President Obama made a joke that Sheldon Adelson spent 100 million dollars of his own money to defeat Obama. I actually thought Obama was joking or had ballooned the amount, but doing some research several sources says that both privately and publicly Sheldon Adelson actually spent 150 MILLION dollars. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/1...n_2223589.html http://www.usnews.com/news/articles/...ng-150-million
Now granted Mr.Adelsen is a billionaire and spent his own money- but I wonder if 150 million dollars could have been spent much better-
I mean 150 million could have been used to buy Whirlway, COG, IFFORD, Lexus Lover, IAINTLIEN, LovingKayla, I B Hankering and rest of that gang a one way ticket out of this country.

Now I bet if some Billionaire was spending 150 million to make sure Romney would lose you would be going ape shit. 3. billion is small compared to the trillion dollars Bush spent on an unfunded war and if you add the lives that were lost in that useless and senseless war you couldn't put a price on that tag.

shoving a "smoking gun" aka "mushroom cloud" down the throats of a country in panic on the heels of 911 should be an offense deserving 25-life in prison. Even though there no official war declared, Congress voted the way the general public expected them to vote, and do their best to stop what they were told was about to happen by the "LEADERS ?" of the country.

Yeh, we are all definitely remembering them now, since those very ones are what ole Assad is using on his people now.
Remember the satellite pictures of those trucks hauling across the border just before the Iraq Invasion. All of that got pushed under the rug.
Another failure by our major news outlets for not following up. Of course, since ABC, NBC, CBS, MSNBC, CNN, etc, were all taking their talking points from The Democrat National Committee, why would they bother?

You mean the "lies" perpetuated by Clinton (bill and hillary), Al Gore, John Kerry, et al ?
If the WMDs claim qualifies as a lie in your low bar standards; then there is no denying that Obama is the biggest liar to every occupy the white house............

Sarin by itself lasts on the order of weeks.
But sarin shells are often implemented as a binary chemical agent in which the 2 precursor chemicals are stored separately within the shell. They mix only at the time the shell is fired. In that case, the shelf life may be many years or decades.

if, in fact , the mix is as close to pure as it can possibly be, otherwise its not

The purity of the mix doesn't matter in a binary agent. That's why they are kept separate.
The impurities only affect the shelf life of Sarin AFTER it has been formed by mixing the two agents. Since that occurs when the shell is fired, the sarin only has to last for a matter of seconds.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
IN 1989 THE IRAQIS DESTROYED 40 OR MORE TONS OF SARIN THAT HAD DECOMPOSED.
EFFORTS TO LENGTHEN SHELF LIFE
IRAQ HAS TRIED TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM IN TWO WAYS. FIRST, IT ATTEMPTED, WITH FOREIGN ASSISTANCE, TO IMPROVE THE SHELF-LIFE OF ITS UNITARY SARIN BY INCREASING, THE PURITY OF THE PRECURSOR AND INTERMEDIATE CHEMICALS AND-REFINING PRODUCTION PROCESSES.
SECOND, IT BEGAN TO DEVELOP BINARY CHEMICAL WEAPONS. IN A BINARY MUNITION, THE TWO PRECURSOR CHEMICALS ARE STORED SEPARATELY AND ONLY MIXED TO FORM THE CHEMICAL AGENT IMMEDIATELY BEFORE OR WHEN THE ROUND IS IN FLIGHT. THUS, THE SHELF LIFE OF THE AGENT BECOMES IRRELEVANT; MOREOVER, THE MUNITION IS SAFER TO HANDLE AND STORE. BY 1990 IRAQ HAD SUCCESSFULLY TESTED 155-MM ARTILLERY SHELLS AND OTHER BINARY MUNITIONS AND LAUNCHED A BALLISTIC MISSILE WITH A BINARY WARHEAD AS WELL. CIA HOLDS THAT THE STOCKS OF SARIN MAY REMAIN VIABLE WELL BEYOND MARCH. CIA ANALYSTS BELIEVE THAT THE SHELF LIFE PROBLEM WAS ONLY TEMPORARY AND THAT THE IRAQIS CAN NOW PRODUCE UNITARY AGENTS OF SUFFICIENT QUALITY BY ADDING A STABILIZER OR IMPROVING THE PRODUCTION PROCESS.
CIA ALSO BELIEVES THAT A SUBSTANTIAL PORTION OF IRAQ'S NERVE AGENT STOCKPILE NOW CONSISTS OF BINARY CHEMICAL WEAPONS WHICH WOULD NOT BE SUBJECT TO DEGRADATION.

the 40 some odd tons of sarin Iraq destroyed in the early 90's was classified as degraded by our own chemists, and described as non lethal ... the most sophisticated equipment the world had to offer could find no new evidence of sarin being made anywhere in the country, not even on a single grain of sand ... after that, and up until we insisted on sarting some shit with saddam, nothing, nada.
so at best the sarin (if shipped to any other location) was 20 years degraded and still as non lethal as it was 10 years prior
