The legal immigrant can sign up for Obamacare. The illegal immigrant must use the Reagan law from 1986, to go to the hospital if they get sick. It was your guy Bush who said at an SOTU address it is not practical to round up 10 million people and send them home. I don't think that's quite what Obama said. He was talking about illegal immigrants signing up their "legal" children. Can a 10 yo child sign up for Obamacare for himself? The website asks you to confirm your legal identity to select plans. It does not require a SSN. So the US can confirm an illegal immigrant so that their child can be enrolled? But the illegal immigrant must pay for the insurance? Based on what last years tax return and a credit card?

Every thinking person knows, by taking deportation off the table, Obama was giving a wink and a nod for families to sign up their illegal sons/daughters, brothers, uncles, cousins, and distant relatives !

You can take it to the bank there will be zero enforcement while Democrats are in control. They will dole out public monies for insurance to illegals. I have no doubt, there will be Mexican (non US) citizens covered under Obamacare, receiving US taxpayer funded coverage - both here and in Mexico.

In an interview with Univision Deportes, a Spanish-language sports radio show, Obama said immigration officials won’t have access to the personal information that consumers provide when signing up for healthcare on the new exchanges.

“Well, the main thing for people to know is that any information you get, you know, asked with respect to buying insurance, does not have anything to do with … the rules governing immigration,” Obama said. “And you know, you can qualify if you’re a legal resident, if you are … legally present in the United States.

“You know, if you have a family where some people are citizens or legally here, and others are not documented, the immigration people will never get that information.”
