Best area to stay in Lubbock?

What part of Lubbock is most convenient for hobbying?

I also want to avoid any run-down shady or undesirable areas.

I've booked my flight, but wanted some input before I finalize my room.

My choices are 1) Southwest/Buddy Holly, 2) Wolfforth, 3) Texas Tech, or 4) South.

All of which mean nothing to me lol!

Southwest loop area is the best

As Larry said....Southwest Loop area....decent hotels and lots of restaurants.
