Just like the ROS, the ML's real purpose is to generate the site a profit. And there is nothing wrong with that.

Reality is, it is no secret that many have problems keeping things private that are said between two people BCD, so I find the idea that anything posted on an Internet forum is outside of an unintended party's ears/eyes, to be naive.

Having male-only areas adds to the sense of exclusivity that is very effective when selling a product, in this case, Premium Access.

There are some who don't post at all or only in those areas or use private tags. Some find it a discreet way to post. I personally don't care one way or another what people do, but I could see how some would not post at all if not for these features. Otherwise information would not be shared.



Not necessarily ignoring. Some subject matter is formulated by a lady and a gent is seeking men's advice. Sure, they can post in coed, but in the ML, they may not only receive responses from varying degrees of experience, but also those who only feel comfortable posting in those areas. Perhaps another ladies response is not necessary. It's like talking in the gym locker room, at the bar with a bunch of friends, well here...its the Men's Lounge.

As for that goes, do women need a private area also? Would it be a great idea to have their area in open forum? Well, same difference for the ML. They are what they are whether it's for revenue stream, a discreet way of posting, or a place where someone can feel more comfortable talking among men rather than women and vice versa. I personally think they are necessary avenues for information exchange that otherwise would not happen without them.

I can understand about wanting to be discreet about the hobby because lets face it we are paying for sex period, so it's frowned upon really. Some do take it more serious than others, especially in reviews & some questionable NO's for not getting what they want or expect. Is their a need for the ML, maybe not, but as Camille said it's to generate profit & those curious to read the ROS of the reviews. Honestly the women's area in SA is boring. Most of the time, all we do is post information about who NCNS'ed us or who wasted our time so the other ladies can make informed decisions on who they want to see. Oh, there is an occasional thread asking other providers for hobby information or to pass off a room we don't need anymore. The reason our area is less....volatile is at the end of the day providers are business owners.

Angel, while I understand what you are saying, I would argue that the main difference between here and BP is that due to reviews, I know which ladies here to see and who to stay away from. I wandered BP for a while before finding this site, but never made a call as I couldn't tell what was safe and what wasn't.
