Default The definition of insanity

Didn't we already do this under Clinton? And we all know how well that worked out. Talk about insanity.

it was what was the catalyst for the 2008 melt down of wall street the dems blamed on bush, when he (bush) tried time and again to get congress to course correct only to be stymied by leahy and barney

Yep; but the left doesn't care about the consequences...it needs to be, social justice demands it!

You act like trying to expand home ownership responsibly is a problem.

Bush saw the emerging problems of unregulated and irresponsible Fannie/Freddie lending and tried to reign it in....but was thwarted by the Democrats...........

Putting a laughing man stick figure in your post doesn't make it factual !

He never "asked" for 5 million new loans; you need to watch your own video.........

And with the increased lending goals, Bush wanted greater oversight....a reasonable proposal....

But Bush's oversight was blocked and Fannie/Freddie still ramped up lending (an estimated $1.50 trillion in sub prime loan loses) ...so because of the Democrats we got wild un-regulated lending with inadequate oversight...........the rest is history.

Look, who gives a shit who was to blame in the past. What we did learn from the entire mortage scandal that resulted in so much chaos in Wall Street and massive bail outs is DON'T DO IT AGAIN.

If a person cannot afford a house, all the tricks in the world used to get them into it will not help them make the payments. It is that simple.

Will we ever learn? Obviously not.
