Question for the carnivores
One of my passions is a really good steakhouse. Being new to the area, I'm not familiar with the choices here. Could anyone, provider or hobbyist, recommend a good steakhouse in Dallas. Money is no issue, and ambience and quality of service is just as important as the quality of the steak. I occasionally take ladies out to these places so it would be nice to know from the provider's point of view which one has the highest "panty-dropping" factor, so to speak. What are some of the favorites?

Use the search on the top right, you will find multiple list for steak houses. Keep in mind this is dfw and an escort board so "panty dropping" for steak...good luck

I don't think you can go wrong with any of these:
Del Frisco's
Lawry's The Prime Rib
Chamberlains
Nick & Sams
Del Frisco's was my favorite. Pappas Bros. Steak House was delicious also.

Steak in Dallas / Fort Worth...
I am a fan of Del Frisco's... Bob's is also a very good choice...
Also, check out Texas Land & Cattle ( www.texaslandandcattle.com). They have great steaks and a menu featuring food from all over Texas. They have a new and improved menu. TXLC is a great value and the kind of place you can go 3-4 times a month for great steak.

This is for civilian dates. I'm fully aware few providers will lose all sexual abandon for a T-bone.

The place listed above are very good. I have also had a good steak at Silver fox.
For a less expensive but still decent (although quality does vary) Texas road house has a decent ribeye. Dunston"s isn't too bad either.

Pappas Brothers is one of the better steak houses in town with meat much like the others. They are very unique in one respect. They have a world class wine list that has fairly reasonable mark ups. If a very wide selection of wine, especially French and Italian wine isn't important to you, you're just as well off at any of the other place listed here. However, if a fine wine is the sina quo non of a meal, it's the only place in town.

I agree, Texas Roadhouse has the best ribeye for the price.

Del Friscos or Mortons if you want something special and don't mind peeling off some C notes.
Lawry's is okay... I've eaten at the original in LA and the one in Vegas and enjoyed it when I was in a Prime Rib mood.
Silver Fox over in FW is awesome too.
Always can go with Ruth Criss too... if you like their style of prep.
