Default Will the U.S. ever mature as a country...legalize the hobby

Maybe some day the U.S. will make the hobby legal...when you do that quality, satisfaction (amoung providers and clients) increase and price stays the same or goes down. Found this in Diamonds and Tuxs on this site.

"A club in Germany was more of a Brothel than a swing club, however it was a sex club! You paid to get in and everything including drinks was free. The ladies required a heavy tip say about $350 US+ in order to spend time with them in a room! They would talk to you and play with you at the bar and at a table to get you interested in going to a room!
Photos of the place and some of the ladies is here;

I wonder if that place has a CBJ policy?

Something of that nature will never be able to exist for any length of time in the U.S. even if it were legal.....which, by the way, I hope never happens (and it won't), and I think you will find that most providers are not "for" legalization anyway. It's a nice thought and all, but many of us would prefer not to register our names with the gov't as a sex worker, and a host of other problems associated with legalization if it were to occur in the U.S. Keep it illegal, plz! It might work in other parts of the world, but it would be a disaster here.

The Puritanical beginnings of the United States remains strong, maybe even getting stronger. There are millions of people out there who want to control how I conduct my private life. I don't see that changing anytime soon.

I've heard of places like that in Brazil too. Don't think it would ever happen here, but we can dream.

Nothing wrong with registering and regular testing of providers and taxing the "service". Would allow LE to focus on the sex trafficing and pimps. If you wanted to be UTR and not register, and if you were to be caught (likely because one of your clients reported you) you would get a small fine, no different than if you were operating an unlicensed hot dog stand (pardon the pun). However, your business would suffer because services from a licensed provider would be perceived to have less risk associated with them.

Of course we'd probably have to start with legalizing drugs first, but that's a whole other bag of weed.

Hmmm. Guess it is like health care...the rest of the world covers it's entire population for 10% of GDP...we spend 17% and only cover 50%...and no we do not have the best health care in the world...just the most expensive.

I could see where providers would not want it...for one they would have to raise prices by 30-50% cause they would pay taxes...of course that would help our budget problems as a country. On the plus side for men...we could use our credit cards and get frequent flyer miles for doing what we enjoy...well at least the single men.

Another benefit for providers is that there would be less apprehension for them to seek LE help with stalkers and wives like the one that attacked Reese Foster would be throttled because they could face legal issues.

At the end of the day, I may move overseas for so many issues going on here. Fortunately they will take me for many reasons...primary amoung them is that my military health care system (unlike Mdeicare) pays the bills even if you live overseas.

OMG, when will people ever learn, the goverment controlling the Hobby HA!!!! Have you not been in a Post Office during a busy time? IMO that's the way it would be run. There would be no independents, personally I wouldn't want to see a lady that had alreally seen 10 to 12 guys that day. Well I guess you could be standing at the door when they opened up so you could be first in line LOL Think about it, would you want to see that many guys a day to make a few bucks???

I remember going to "boys town" in Mexico when I was in high school, walking down the street and little kids ran up to you trying to get you to go into a certain club by telling you "fuckly sucky my mommy she virgin", is that the kind of service you want?
I should go to Germany and see what its like over there, I'll put that on my "to do list"

Oh yeah the price will go down and the quality go up HA HA that's a joke right!! What's wrong with the quality of the providers here? If your not satisfied with someone don't go back, try another, or several!

That's my 2 cents

Nobody is saying the government would "control" the hobby. I have no intention of going to a government run brothel. The whore houses in Mexico and Latin America aren't run by the government either. They also aren't regulated, and that's why for the right price, you could have banged the virgin mother and her kid.

My chiropractor, massage therapist and butcher are licensed, certified and regulated and I know they have had to meet a certain standard and I'm not going to get my neck broken or catch a parasite.

I'm fairly certain it would be good for business for reputable providers because it would take away the competition from the street walkers, lot lizards, pimps, hustlers and the like. They could also advertise more openly, and generally operate their business like any other entrepreneur. I'm certain the number of $2000 overnights/doubles/parties would go up if clients could pay with a credit card. Not that I trust the government, but I'm sure if it ever came down to it, the privacy issues vis a vis provider registration could be dealt with.

When you travel overseas , you will see that we have the best and lowest cost postal system...and the reason the post office is in the red is that the dumbies that ran the congress form 2002-2006 changed the way post office funds it's retirement...unlike any other govt agence...cause they want to make the postal system private...so costs go up and service goes down...some things the private sector does not do as well as govt...some things the private sector does better than the govt...normally service people have to have the govt does better...innovation and selection is what the private sector does best.

Eveyone wants to compare the postal system to fedex and UPS...different missions and fedex/ups does not deliver Mon-Sat...and I have stood in line at fedex/ups drop off locations. And fedex/ups has lost my stuff more than the post office.

On the issue of seeing a providers that see 10-12 guys...overseas where it is legal...girls can see as many clients or as few as they want and there are huge number of indys. And of course pimps go away...of course madams and business owners. And the girls have a really positive attitude cause fewer of them have to hide what they do.

Good for you...Germany is great and the hobby is legal in the land down under...great ladies and little language barrier...though they complain us yanks have an accent...LOL.

Sorry to get off the subject...legalize the hobby IMHO.

Unfortunately, not in this lifetime with the religous right still deeply embedded in our culture, and especially in the South. It's very evident today here in Dallas with the DPD spending our tax dollars to stake out Swingers Clubs and Strip Bars. (like there are no violent crimes going on elsewhere that might supercede someone getting laid without DPD's permission!)

Not to get too far off topic, but religion wields a big stick in our national law making, not just in the escorting world. I'm not always onboard with Bill Mahr's political views, but I do think he hit the nail on the head with his movie "Religulous" when addressing the influence of religion in our culture. One of my favorite quotes:

Bill Maher: See, this is my problem, I'm trying - I mean, you're - you're a Senator. You are one of the very few people who are really running this country. It worries me that people are running my country who think - who believe in a talking snake. Um...
Mark Pryor: [Arkansas' Democratic Senator] You don't have to pass an IQ test to be in the Senate, though.

Yes unfortunately when the country was founded...England sent us some great people and then forever screwed us with the religious nut cases. Also I think women (non providers) would not want it. When a session with a quality provider is legal and as cheap as dinner and a movie...well it cuts into their areas.
