the US was founded by victims of English Kings, who had noble and pure ideas of how men should live, but having lived in an impure society, it took a few hundred years to chip away and get to a place where they could rightfully say the US is free and righteous for everybody.. say, since the 1965 Civil Rights Act.

not saying I hold this theory, or that it is absolutely true.. but the US has made tremendous strides towards liberty and justice for all.. anywhere short of Heaven itself, will fail in that pursuit, because Man is a fallen creature since his creation.
