Default Okay, I are confused.....

So the New York Times writes a story that Trump may be a national security problem because he "lost" the election under unusual circumstances and he can use his knowledge of national security to trip up Biden. The take away is that Trump is different from all other former presidents somehow. I guess being a businessman is not as good as being a politician. So, we either kill Trump (and by extension; Carter, Clinton, Bush, and Obama) or we tell the POTUS nothing when he is in office. That's how they feel about Trump.
At the same time, the New York Times publishes a story about how Biden should be getting national security briefings now. Before we know if he will take office, before we know if he is competent to have this information, before we know that China does not have him or Hunter by the short hairs.
Can someone explain this disparity to me. Not being a liberal I have trouble with fantasy.

I dont think biden should have any intel until the first of the year! Nor any President elect after an election.

It’s difficult for me to see why any unelected person, and doubly so for Biden, given his China, Ukraine, Russia, Oman, and was it the Netherlands? issues, and his cognitive infirmities, should be given our secrets

Even Clinton began giving Bush the security briefings while the legal challenge was ongoing (Gore already had access as VP). This is traditionally what always happens, so that they aren't coming into their term blind.

This isn't a new "thing".

I thought they usually waited until the states certified the election before the security briefings started. It takes two to three weeks for a transition team to be put in place.

Well-- recounts cannot begin until the state is certified.. so if we're starting recounts, that would mean that technically-- the state would be certified.

We're 9 days post election at this point. Its about the time that the briefings would typically begin-- but until Trump either concedes or agrees to share the briefings, the department that helps aid in transition cannot begin their work.

You, and by extension we, must give the corny sailor a pass. He's a novice at this. Credit to him. At least he admits it. He's having a hard time dealing with reality.

Rage whining from the "Professor" and MaryAnn, here on Fantasy Island.

But the whiners seem to be starting to accept reality. Not so much here.

It will nice to occupy only one again.

Your opinion, and a dollar, will get you a cup of coffee at McDonalds. Cheers!
