Top tax rate to exceed 100% in France
Here is the link:
http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/...94H0AX20130518
The 100% rate is due to a one time levy. Key quote:
-------------------------------------------------------
"The newspaper said that the exceptionally high level of taxation was due to a one-off levy last year on 2011 incomes for households with assets of more than 1.3 million euros ($1.67 million).
President Francois Hollande's Socialist government imposed the tax surcharge last year, shortly after taking office, to offset the impact of a rebate scheme created by its conservative predecessor to cap an individual's overall taxation at 50 percent of income."
-------------------------------------------------------
Got that? They are going back in time - financially speaking - to recoup rebates citizens received in previous years.

It is their aging population and the government retirement benefits that are causing the most financial strain in France. They are also not taxed on any of the benefits they receive except health. Whenever the government tries to take away a benefit or they want more, the French people riot.
I would love mandatory paid month long vacations.
Something tells me Johnny Depp will be glad he got his US citizenship in 2011 back if he wants to renounce his dual citizenship.
Gerard Depardieu was going to leave France and move to Russia before they repealed a 75% tax rate. French officials repealed the tax and sweet talked him into staying. I wonder if his one time levy will be greater than 100% of his annual income.

I think 50% of your income should be enough. Any more than that and you are effectively a slave.
Speaking of which, how is my reparations argument coming along?

You libtard trolls, do you see how its done? Yeah, I'm talking to you: BigLouis, WTF, EvaBigcunt, BigKotex, Clappie, CBJ7 and RandyforAndy.
You put the point in the title of the thread heading, link to the original article and quote the appropriate passages to make your point. Then you put your opinion/explanation of said article.
Thanks ExNYer.

So, what happens if the government needs 60% in order to prop up Israel? Are you saying we should let Israel fend for itself?
What if we need more than 50% to pay for reparations?

I thought it was a good one. My buddy ExNYer remembered. Think 40 acres and a mule. However, to review:
$100,000 for each pure blooded US descendent of black African's enslaved in the United States. They must be currently residing in the United States, percentage payment applies for those less than 100%.
Example: If Halle Berry is 75% black, due to a white grandparent, she gets 75K. Octoroons, for those who don't understand the term get 1/8 (besides ExNYer, who understands most everything except for Israel's place in God's heart), which is $12,500.
I think a DNA database could help tremendously.

Thank you.
But, in all fairness, you shouldn't have confined your criticism to folks on the left. There are also a few on the right who post links with short, non-descript titles and no more than a half sentence in the body.

I have been saying that for years. The Bible says that God will defend Israel and defeat its enemies.
I say we nuke the whole middle east and if the Bible is right, Israel should come out of it unscathed.
