Become a collaborator, in New York it pays $500
Not happy with banning high capacity magazines (which had to be repealed because of the lack of seven mags which would a de facto gun ban which is unconstitutional) New York is now offering money for people to inform on their neighbors with guns. It may be a good idea to removed guns from the hands of criminals but this is the back end of the problem. Why not increase the penalty for possession of stolen or the theft of firearms? This is just the water getting warm before the frog knows its boiled.

For the stupid; if you read the bottom of the story it says that the AP contributed to this story reported on Fox.

Typical jd post. He mixes a lack of reading comprehension with mis-statements and lies.
The reward is for ILLEGAL guns. A lie by omission. One of jd favorite types of lie.
High capacity mag ban lifted? When? Link? (I didn't know it had started) Out and out lie.
Lack of 7 round mags? Thought you owned a 1911? Another lie.
That warm water feeling?
Just you, the douche-bag, filling up.
PS For the stupidest.
If Fox got the Governor's name from AP, then AP contributed to the report

So how does the caller know if the gun is illegal?
What if somebody is aware that a neighbor he doesn't like has or may have a gun?
Does he make a call and get to enjoy the fun while the cops hassle the neighbor and search his home only to find he has no gun or a legal one?
What is the asshole just calls it in on everyone on his block and collects $500 on a handful of successful guesses?

If you read the link then all will be made known. Otherwise, stay stupid.

I called you a liar.
You mumbled something about reading the link and it would be made known that you were lying.
At least you got one thing right.
And as I called you a liar, I now call you coward.
Because you are afraid to offer argument with proof as to why you are not either.
No need to call you stupid as that is well understood by all.
You embarrass even sog.
You have not reacted well to the loss of your teaching internship.

Why would I offer an argument when all you've offered is an insult. When you are ready to play...

The truth is not an insult. You are a proven liar.
Only you can change whether you lie or not.
Don't put that off on us.
A lie wearing a conservative's blessing is still a lie.
Post #2 shows several lies from the OP exposed using the link you provided. In 2 subsequent posts you have not even attempted to refute your lies. Posts #4 and #7 are deflections. Nothing more. It would be interesting to see how you deal with the statements from post # 2. Probably not going to ever see that. It's only the basis for discussion in this thread

I take offense at your use of the word "collaborator" in this thread, B-Swine.
That means you're calling the city of New York an American territory occupied by a foreign enemy and it's people prisoners of an invading, hostile force. Like the Vichy in France during WWI, or the Jews who "policed" their own in the Warsaw Ghetto wearing German uniforms.
But this comes as no surprise who hysterically shrieks "treason" at everybody who has an opinion other than his.
You're not a traitor, a collaborator, or even just a liar.
You're all three, coated in bullshit.
Last night I was going to expose you for the fraud you are. I chose not to because I knew it would hurt your feelings. Get your shit together boy and I won't have to change my mind.

Would it make you feel better if he said "informant" instead of "collaborator"?
On the other hand, one might expect at least some of the more zealous anti-gun element in New York to be only too willing to "collaborate" with government in getting rid of all the guns in their neighborhood - whether they are legal or illegal. If they learn that a neighbor has a gun, I doubt very much that they will give the neighbor the benefit of the doubt as to whether it is legal or not. They'll just make the call and let the chips fall where they may when the cops show up.

Naw, he should have said stoolie...
Story said illegal guns. Program says illegal guns. Why would BSwine object to that. Why would you?
Why is that different than reporting other illegal actions? Is it collaborating to inform on the whereabouts of a meth lab? A rapist? A mass murderer?
How about a dipshit? I'd cash in!

Funny how we all define "illegal" guns differently. To me an illegal gun doesn't exist. There people who illegally possess certain guns like machine gungs and then there are those people who have illegal possession of guns because of their past. There really is no such thing as an illegal gun. Kind of like the argument about illegal aliens. The left (that's you) says that people aren't illegal. We on the right (the good guys) have insisted repeatedly that it is what they did that makes them illegal aliens. So it about actions to us and just arbitrary definitions to you. You are trying to have it both ways (again......) A person can't be illegal but a gun can (I suppose I have to say for the left). We think that guns and people are not illegal but guns can be illegally owned and people can do illegal things.
So when you're finished being hypocritical and shameless then get back to me.

Apparently they are talking about guns that are legal to own
in other parts of the country but not in New York, the only
universally illegal guns are ones that have been modified by
someone, (a barrel that has been cut down too short, a semi
auto gun that has been converted to full auto, a gun made
out of old plumbing parts--for example)
The only other thing would be someone in illegal possession
of a firearm, a convicted felon, someone convicted of family
violence.
And yes, activity very totalitarian in nature. Neighbor turning in
neighbor. I'm not sure about the law, but I think a complaint
or tip can lead to a search warrant.
