The state is offering amnesty on delinquent surcharges acquired between September 30, 2004 and December 31, 2008. Check out the link to see if you qualify. A friend of mine just got $1500 in charges wiped clean. Hope this helps someone. If you know someone that might need to check it out, be sure to let them know. I'm sure not everyone reads the sandbox.

Pardon my ignorance, but do these surcharges generally refer to outstanding tickets, etc.?

Yes, and court fees, probation fees, etc.

tho that page has DPS across the top, notice the MSB logo - it appears that's a third-party company to help DPS collect surcharges.

what are surcharges? check out the dps page on them.

i noticed that their opt in page asked for personal info!!!

so, even tho the DRP page mentions MSB, if it were me, i'd check w/ DPS [call them] to make sure that a) the amnesty pgm is legit and b) that MSB is legit. you never know who's out there wanting your info.
