Jindal to Republicans, "stop being the stupid party"
"End dumbed down conservatism"
“We’ve got to make sure that we are not the party of big business, big banks, big Wall Street bailouts, big corporate loopholes, big anything,” Jindal told POLITICO in a 45-minute telephone interview. “We cannot be, we must not be, the party that simply protects the rich so they get to keep their toys.”
“It is no secret we had a number of Republicans damage our brand this year with offensive, bizarre comments — enough of that,” Jindal said. “It’s not going to be the last time anyone says something stupid within our party, but it can’t be tolerated within our party. We’ve also had enough of this dumbed-down conservatism. We need to stop being simplistic, we need to trust the intelligence of the American people and we need to stop insulting the intelligence of the voters.”
Indeed, I couldn't have said it better myself. We have seen a multitude of dumbed down conservatism, stupidity and insults to everyone's intelligence from the right here.
Actually I personally don't give a fuck and will revel in seeing the fiscal conservatives and neo-cons sharpen the long knives for the religious right and social conservative not to mention the libertarians and moderate Republicans. Let the blood letting begin/continue. It has already been a very entertaining un-civil war with everybody attacking the conservative media, consultants and pollsters who got it all so very very wrong. It should only get more entertaining for quite a while if we are lucky.
Bottom line is that the country and Dems win no matter what the outcome. Oh, sorry, I"m a libtard and hate the U.S.A. LOL If Republicans make themselves completely irrelevant or splinter into two or three smaller parties the country can still move forward on a facts and reality basis or if somehow the Republican party finds a way to pull itself together and become relevant again, the Dems are always better with a loyal (as opposed to only self-serving obstructionist) opposition.
Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!!!! Grab some buttered popcorn and a drink sit back and enjoy the show folks, it's going to be a good one! I've been waiting for this since Reagan beat Carter....woo hooo! I fuckin' love this whore board where I can say any damn thing I really feel without having to hurt anyone I care about's feelings...wheeeeee!
Anyone have opinions on how all this internal strife will ultimately play out? Shoot!

Well, aust. You're still an idiot, but you are finally getting into the spirit of the place. NEVER take anything personally. If your feelings get hurt by what goes on here, find something else to do. Seriously.

My guess is the party will continue with their direction, be even more extreme, and continue to lose elections. Perhaps in about 3-4 election cycles they'll wake up and realize that you can't win elections without appealing to a wider range of voters. But they're already saying that their principles cannot be compromised, so I guess they're confusing keeping your principles with working with the voter base to adopt your principles. The only problem is that it seems one of those principles is to keep a distance from minorities, and that's the one that's going to bite them in the ass.
Not my problem, not my party, just an observation from an outsider that actually agrees with some of the things the Republican party stands for, but loses interest with the bigotry displayed by the extreme right.

The GOP is too old, stodgy and white. They should dissolve, and allow a real choice to become available to Americans. We didn't have a real choice in this election, or the last one. It's time for a change.
Yes, they are the stupid party. They thought all their rich buddies would keep them in power. Guess what? Their rich buddies found a new friend in Obama. The Republicans are not necessary anymore.

Judging by recent events, meltdowns, threats, Ted., I stand by my earlier prediction that this election will leave the Republican Party in a shambles for at least an entire generation ... Maybe longer.
Im tired of discussing what they need to do to become viable again.
Id rather the insincere fuckers just go away.

Long Night
The GOP is in a world of hurt today, but it's not so much because of this election.
The outcome of this election is only a symptom of what the GOP has become.
These old rich white guys thought they knew better than the rest of the world.
. . . The GOP has reached the long night of the soul.

Somebody had to say it, I'm just surprised it was Jindal. I wonder if he will face the wrath of Rush Limbaugh.

The wrath of Limbaugh should be worn like a badge of honor. It is his faithful who have brought down conservatism in America and spell the death of the GOP!
make no mistake. Rush is the Great Satan.

Thanks! Being called an idiot by you is definitely a compliment! At least I 'm not a hopeless romantic who alternately espouses political views that only work (and I use "work" very loosely) in Somalia and would destroy the U.S.A. If implemented or supports a party that is against FEMA and for rape LOL.
Not that I ever took anything here, but myself, seriously. I just realized ideology will never recognize facts or common sense.
Pretty soon I'll be espousing Royalist views once I figure out who should the U.S. royal family should be.

They might know best ... But nobody agrees. and these wise guys don't give a shit whether the great unwashed masses agree. So at the end of the day, maybe the smartest guys in the room are really just full of shit.

Rush said the same thing....what you turds don't understand is that Republicans hate conservatives...just look at the lack of support Michele Bachmann got from the GOP for proof.....as long as the Republicans sound like dimwits, they will lose and so will the country.....liberal policies destroy the country, conservative policies build up the country....when Republicans become conservative, they win.....
when dimwits lose elections, you don't here them say lets cut spending and taxes, become pro-life and pro-liberty....hell no, they double down on liberalism and lie harder next time.....liberals never win elections by letting the voters know who they are, they have to lie to get elected....
of course, takers now out number makers.....we have gone over the cliff but people don't know it because we haven't hit the bottom....I think we need to hit the bottom.....
