Default Barter possibilities?

Okay, first off I know what I'm about to say is tacky... unprofessional... low class... so please don't bite my head off. But as the saying goes "what the hell..."

I am retiring one of my office laptop computers, plus its docking station and 24" monitor. It's still a good computer (Intel dual core, 4 gig RAM, 7200RPM disk drive), but for business/tax reasons I replace them every two years. I've reloaded this one with Win 7 (licensed and activated, install disk included.)

I've grown to hate putting used computers on Craigslist... tons of scammers out there, plus low-ball offers, no shows, wasting my time, etc. And to be honest, the money would go towards the hobby anyway. So I thought I would just ask: any provider need a "new" (used but good) computer? Thinking about trade/barter, not cash.

If you're interested, PM me and we can go from there. Central Arkansas.

I've bought some stuff from Slingerland in the past! Just flash him a little cleavage and he'll discount the price. If you get slightly more creative, you just might get that computer for free. He's pretty easy. Not that I'm passing any judgement on being easy...lol.

Hey, Slingerland! Where is that cool little "review" you wrote about our first meeting? Post a link!

Eureka! I saved you the legwork. You're welcome.

Your "review" of me is still one of my all-time favorite Eccie posts. You're so funny & creative, Slingerland! You really need to start posting more. We need more people like you to help lighten the mood around here!

HP 6910p, Intel MB graphics. If you want a larger HD, I can swap up to 500 gig Western Digital.

FYI, it sold about an hour ago. With a bit of luck, a review to follow soon.

Ginger, thank you VERY much for the kind words! MB, thank you VERY much for the interest!

I have only had one offer to 'barter' for a laptop, but it never happened. I guess they wanted it for free, but come on, was I suppose to trade a $600 MacBookPro for an hour that would have only cost me $180..! I may be daft, but I'm not stoopid.
