Actually, people escape across the Berlin Wall, and it had armed guards, guard dogs, land mines, Anti-vehicle trenches, and beds of nails. Prisoner of War escape from Germany and France during the World War II. So, you can make the border more secure, but people will always find a way.

What you can do is make life in the USA less appealing to them once they get here and they will stop coming.

This country shouldn't have to rely on immigration to pick produce. What's sad is Farmers can't find reliable workers to perform that task. Open Borders might bring in reliable hard workers from our Southern Border but it also attracts the smuggling of illicit contraband. I guess the strategy is if Mexico can get American workers incapacitated enough there will be plenty of jobs for the immigrants. Apparently it's working.

That's a nice dream but let me tell you about reality. I don't want to clean my house myself. I don't want to maintain my pool myself. I don't want to do the maintenance on my yard myself. I don't want to do any landscaping on my yard myself. Who do you think I pay to do that work? Hint: none of them speak English.

The bottom line is immigrants are willing to work in jobs that Americans don't want. My yard guy just raised my monthly rates. I asked him why. He told me that to keep his guys now, he has to pay them $200/day or they will go to his competitors. So yeah, best of luck making America less appealing for unskilled immigrant workers. She passed one of the most difficult bar exams in any state and was also attorney general in that state so stupid she certainly is not... just because you don't agree with someone does not make that person stupid.
