Punta Cana (Dominican Republic) is gorgeous and a lot of fun. White beaches and cool Atlantic Ocean water. Check it out online!!

+1 for Punta Cana. Been there done that. I'm certified open water diver and if you're into scuba diving, it's also great for that as well. Did two dives last time I was there. The water is crystal clear with over 100 ft of visibility. I would suggest that you go to one of the resorts that is all inclusive and would also suggest to stay on the resort. It can be dangerous.
And once you get back from your vaca....can you please make another trip out to west TX pretty please Ms. Madison May?

Depends on what you want to get out of your vacation but . . .
Greece.
They're having a sale.
Plus front and center to history.
If that is too much excitement then small villages in France, e.g. in Lorraine.

I did a 10 day tour of Italy when I was in High School. Verona, Milan, Venice, Assissi, Sorento, Rome, Pompeii.... I mean I was in awe the ENTIRE time!!! The culture, architecture, and food was to die for! And great shopping!

Tamanrasset, Algeria...in the Hoggar Mountains
http://www.lonelyplanet.com/algeria/tamanrasset
Them Tuareg people are some tough bastards, but very sweet after you get to know them. Seems like every one of them is a musician, and the streets and alleyways are filled with music...or at least they were.
There was recently a real good movie with some Tuaregs, among others, in conflict with militant Islam around Timbuktu in Mali, which is south across a couple of the Saharas from Algeria... http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3409392/ (Timbuktu)...
If you don't want it rough, then Italy's beautiful...those multi-venue trips are too much like work for my taste...we've leased apartments in Umbria for a month...also in Spain but now they outlawed bullfights in Catalonia there's no reason to go back to Barcelona now...staring at Gaudi's gets old fast.
http://www.untours.com/ Used them several times, reasonably priced, no complaints. Hope you make some memories. Good ones.

Hedonism II, You could probably stay and play for free...Maybe even make money if you wanted. I've stayed next door at Sandals a few times. They've always had "ringers" at Hedo II.

Italy by all means. The Euro is weak right now so you should get good deals. The resorts in Thailand are really nice. And of course Paris or London.

I love the Caribbean and discovered Aruba a few years ago. It is a Dutch island with great beaches and snorkeling. A few of the hotels have casinos, if that is your thing. Great selection of high quality restaurants, unlike most of the other islands. Not crowded and everyone is super friendly. Crime is almost non existent.
I have been to most of the Caribbean islands and Aruba is by far the best, IMHO.

I've traveled the world and these are some of my favorite places. Australia, St. Martin, Fiji, Bora Bora, Spain, Greece, Costa Rica, New Zealand and Dubai.
