It's not stealing/theft, lusty. IFA authorized it which means Congress was involved and permission was given. The extra cost will be covered by borrowing, which they CAN. Shouldn't, but can.

We can talk all day long how stupid it was, but thanks for bringing an orange into a convo about apples. This didn't apply to the other situation where the funds were used for what they were appropriated for.

I'm sorry you have a hard time understanding and tracking how appropriations work. Not sure why except to be intentionally obtuse about it.

What's the IFA? Do you mean the grotesquely misnamed Inflation Reduction Act? That acronym would be IRA.

Not a single Republican in either the House or Senate voted for the IRA. So the blame lies 100% with the Democrats.
