Default Any Body Praying For This Worthless Piece Of Crap

Everbody seems to be caught up in the Troy Davis saga, not much is being said about the fact that the The State of Texas is going to send one Lawrence Brewer to his maker this evening.

This is one of the trio who drug James Byrd behind a pickup truck to his death in the Texas town of Vidor. He is as infamous on Death Row as Ronald Clark O'Bryn, the so called "Candy Man" who killed his own Son with cyanide laced candy, (pixxy sticks), a number of years ago. Nobody mourned the death of O'Bryn as the liquid began to flow, I doubt there will be many crying for this worthless piece of shit either.

These individules are poster kids for the Death Penalty. Texas, and a few other States, make it clear that if you decide to commit the types of crimes that these individules were convicted of, you will be tried, sentenced to death, and executed.

Godspeed, Lawrence Brewer. The world is a better place without you.

I just wish they would tie his ass to the back of a truck and drag him to hell. The needle is way to painless for that fuck.

Only complaint I've got is that we kept him safe, sound and well fed since 1998 before doing what should have been done a long time ago.

All 3 - Shawn Berry, Lawrence Brewer, and John King are pieces of shit. They wrapped a logging chain around the ankles of James Byrd, hitched the chain to a pick up truck and dragged Mr. Byrd for a distance of two miles. Medical experts think he was alive and conscience thru the ordeal.

It happened in 1998, they were arrested almost immediately, yet the system took 13 years to get justice for Mr. Byrd. Shame on us for having a system that gives this piece of shit 13 more years of life before his execution.

Shawn Berry, the driver of truck, got life and is serving his sentence in Brazoria, Texas. John King isl sitting on death row waiting his time.

The Byrd killing was in Jasper, not Vidor.

but on cases like this.

Now if you are of the mind that we need to kill some innocent folks to get to the scum, well fine, I guess, (I'm not but that is a different discussion) but when it is proven that there has been prosecutorial misconduct on these cases then they (the DA) should be the ones facing the Death Penalty.

I support the death penalty in cases where there is no doubt. For those with doubt, life in prison without the possibility of parole is actually less expensive to the taxpayor and not much fun for the convicted.

death penalty would be ok, if the evidence were held to high standard. unfortunately, many states have a low standard of evidence to convict and sentence someone to death. Texas prolly has one of the lowest standard of evidence for death penalty. bigest problem is the states refusal to admit that there was a mistake made in the case or have had evidence delibertly with held to win a case.

He was decapitated by a culvert after @ 2 miles of the 3-3.5 mile dragging.

A situation that is slightly better with the innocence advocacy groups but lots and lots of room for improvement.

I for one oppose the death penalty as it is practiced in Texas.
Takes too long, costs too much.
Life without parole in wretched conditions, I say.
Ship the miscreants down to Gitmo.
No cable TV, no funny books, no mail, no phone, no visitors.

Hell no not the Carribean. A building in the most desolate place with walls they can't see over.
