Default Waco Kid's Weekly College Football Review week 12

What is Waco Kid's Weekly College Football Review? It is an ongoing weekly review of all things College Football!!

Each week upcoming games can be discussed and predictions made, name-calling after victories and general all-around college football discussion! Each week will be closed out by the next Monday and a new thread opened for the current college football schedule for each week.

Rules -
"Rules?? We don't need no stinkin’ rules!"
Actually we do.

WKWCFR rule 1
"Lies, damn lies and statistics!"
British Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli

If you quote a stat, record, 3rd down conversion rate, an all-time mark or the number of jock straps an 85-man team needs ...
Post it! If you can't post a link to it, it's bogus!

What's valid in the Internet age? Just about anything! Any of the major sports publications, local newspapers, any of the big networks and official school and NCAA sites just to cover the big ones.

WKWCFR rule 2
Predictions must be posted 1 day in advance! If you haven't read the sports page and figgured out who's going to win by the day before ya never will!
Must be time stamped before Midnight the day before game-day, for any weekly games Thur-Sun on the current weekly schedule.

So there you have it, pretty basic! You can post on general topics of your favorite teams regardless of that week's opponent. Just remember WKWCFR rule 1

After taking a punch from TCU and making the #1 team in Texas sweat a bit SDSU will pull off a home victory against Utah and finally make it into the top 25.

No. 10 Alabama vs. Georgia State, 7:30 p.m. - Alabama

Nothing more than a glorifed scrimmage for the Tide, they roll.

Georgia St 7 10 Alabama 63Perfect storm for the Tide, they roll and most importantly they have no major injuries. that's really about all the Tide and Saban had to worry about in this scrimmage.

of course just to remind the football faithful Bama is out of the BCS title game as predicted by TWK ..

Alabama will NOT repeat as BCS champs. sorry Bama no bias here just too hard to do which is why no one has done it and you won't either. Not even with Satan, er Saban at the helm.

http://www.eccie.net/showthread.php?t=93531

yeah i also said we'd beat OU again too .. with a very solid "probably" to qualify that LOL. once the game loomed large i did predict OU would break the hex and win one. Zerou is also out of the title game hunt now too. But at least we stopped the bugeaters from a perfect run! Sorry 'bout that Judge!

No. 5 LSU vs. Mississippi, 3:30 p.m. - LSU

Crazy Lester needs to do me a fav and kick Houston in his Nutts!

No. 6 Wisconsin at Michigan, Noon - Wisconsin

Badgers need this more than RichRod but RR is coaching for his job, beware Badgers!

No. 7 Stanford at California, 3:30 p.m. - Stanford

Cal probably couldn't beat Stanford's band.

No. 8 Ohio State at No. 21 Iowa, 3:30 p.m. - Ohio State

Iowa's offense is not good enough to win even if Pryor has a meltdown.

No. 9 Nebraska at No. 18 Texas A&M, 8 p.m. - Nebraska

Bugeaters need blackshirts to contain Tannehill or suffer Zerou's fate you will!

No. 11 Michigan State vs. Purdue, Noon - Michigan State

Sparty needs to keep it's mojo going if they want a share of the Big Ten title and a possible Rosy New Year.

No. 12 Oklahoma State at Kansas, Noon - Oklahoma State

Cowpokes better pull out all those weapons and not look ahead to Bedlam.

No. 13 Arkansas at No. 22 Mississippi State, 7 p.m. - Arkansas

going all in with Boss Hogg. don't blow it like you did against Bama!

No. 14 Virginia Tech at No. 24 Miami, 3:30 p.m. - Virginia Tech

Going all in with Beamerball.

No. 15 Missouri at Iowa State, 7 p.m. - Missouri

trap game here Mizzou don't get jacked up on the road.

No. 16 Oklahoma at Baylor, 8 p.m. - Oklahoma

I'd go with Baylor upset here except their defense can't match it's offense, Big Game Bozo wins.

No. 17 South Carolina vs. Troy, 12:21 p.m. - South Carolina

'ol Ball Coach needs a tune-up before the stretch run.

No. 19 Nevada vs. New Mexico State, 4 p.m. - Nevada

Wolfpack should tear up bad 2-8 New Mexico St.

No. 20 Southern Cal at Oregon St., 8 p.m. - USC

going all in with Lane Kiffy.

No. 25 Utah at San Diego State, 10 p.m. - Utah

Fresno St 0 3 Boise St 51Smurfies put beatdown on good Fresno team, they will win out but it's probably not enough for a shot at the Big Crystal Ball unless major chaos erupts in the final few weeks.

Saturday

No. 5 LSU vs. Mississippi, 3:30 p.m. - LSU

Crazy Lester needs to do me a fav and kick Houston in his Nutts!

Mississippi 36 5 LSU 43Ya played with fire here Lester! call this a character win, Mikey.

No. 6 Wisconsin at Michigan, Noon - Wisconsin

Badgers need this more than RichRod but RR is coaching for his job, beware Badgers!

6 Wisconsin 48 Michigan 28Badgers rip up RichRod's defense and possibly RichRod's contract.

No. 7 Stanford at California, 3:30 p.m. - Stanford

Cal probably couldn't beat Stanford's band.

7 Stanford 48 California 14No miracle finish here, Jimmy H puts the hammer down on TeddyBear.

No. 8 Ohio State at No. 21 Iowa, 3:30 p.m. - Ohio State

Iowa's offense is not good enough to win even if Pryor has a meltdown.

8 Ohio St 20 21 Iowa 17Yep, Iowa doesn't have the offense and Pryor actually pulled a mini-VY on 4th and 10 late to get the win. Still ya gotta wonder why are the Buckys NOT an offensive machine?

No. 9 Nebraska at No. 18 Texas A&M, 8 p.m. - Nebraska

Bugeaters need blackshirts to contain Tannehill or suffer Zerou's fate you will!

9 Nebraska 6 18 Texas A&M 9Bugeaters fail this test. Bo needs a dose of class, next time play better so you don't have to chase the zebras.

No. 11 Michigan State vs. Purdue, Noon - Michigan State

Sparty needs to keep it's mojo going if they want a share of the Big Ten title and a possible Rosy New Year.

Purdue 31 11 Michigan St 35Sparty once again shows some mojo or luck take your pick. Had a great poem for Sparty since it appeared they would lose .. "Sparty, sparty, roses are red violets are blue, but Pasadena is not for you" LOL. Then they won anyway.

No. 12 Oklahoma State at Kansas, Noon - Oklahoma State

Cowpokes better pull out all those weapons and not look ahead to Bedlam.

12 Okla St 48 Kansas 14What's not to like here cpt? ya may have started a bit slow but ya rolled anyway. Bedlam awaits.

No. 13 Arkansas at No. 22 Mississippi State, 7 p.m. - Arkansas

going all in with Boss Hogg. don't blow it like you did against Bama!

13 Arkansas 38 22 Miss St 31Actually a real good game, lots of scoring and Boss Hogg had to earn it in 2 OT's.

No. 14 Virginia Tech at No. 24 Miami, 3:30 p.m. - Virginia Tech

Going all in with Beamerball.

14 VA Tech 31 24 Miami (FL) 17Told ya, Beamerball baby! Canes made it a game until late turnovers by 2nd string QB broke it open for Va Tech.

No. 15 Missouri at Iowa State, 7 p.m. - Missouri

trap game here Mizzou don't get jacked up on the road.

15 Missouri 14 Iowa St 0Not exactly gettin' yer mojo back, but it's better than losing.

No. 16 Oklahoma at Baylor, 8 p.m. - Oklahoma

I'd go with Baylor upset here except their defense can't match it's offense, Big Game Bozo wins.

16 Oklahoma 53 Baylor 24Speaking of mojo Big Game Bozo gets his back. But Baylor ain't the cowpokes are they Bob?

No. 17 South Carolina vs. Troy, 12:21 p.m. - South Carolina

'ol Ball Coach needs a tune-up before the stretch run.

Troy 24 17 S Carolina 69Another perfect storm, 'ol Ball Coach rolls on to face Aubie for SEC title.

No. 19 Nevada vs. New Mexico State, 4 p.m. - Nevada

Wolfpack should tear up bad 2-8 New Mexico St.

New Mex St 6 19 Nevada 52And tear it up they do, Wolfpack continue impressive run. Now show the world what you are made of, the Smurfies are coming to town next.

No. 20 Southern Cal at Oregon St., 8 p.m. - USC

going all in with Lane Kiffy.

20 USC 7 Oregon St 36All out with Kiffy too. What up Dude? this wasn't even close and Beavers were struggling. Not this week.

No. 25 Utah at San Diego State, 10 p.m. - Utah

Utes can't lose three straight .. can they?

25 Utah 38 San Diego St 34Nope they can't. but they sure tried to, sorry boltfan yer Aztecs had 'em on the ropes but let the Utes steal one.

Not such a bad weekend. I am hopeful SDSU will get an Armed Forces Bowl bid so I can attend mutliple events for Bowl week here in Fort Worth. There is a decent contingent of SDSU alumni here in North Texas so hopefully there will be some incentive to get them here.

Indeed, SDSU is 7-4, don't know about the rest of Longhorn Nation but all things considered i pretty much knew Texas would struggle this year, new QB, new offense, green offensive line, given the overall state of the Big 12 i'd say 9-3 at best 8-4 more likely was about as good as we'd do, certainly not this disaster.

Yer Aztecs are a pleasant surprise this year.

anyway just got back from the Roger Waters show at AA Center, The Wall what a classic no matter how many times i've seen it. Saw the real Pink Floyd in '77, Animals tour. this won't be a surprise to any Floyd fans but if anyone wants to check out a great "live" recording check out "Live at Pompeii", best version of "One of these days" you'll ever hear!

Too bad Roger still won't tour with Dave Gilmour and Nick Mason, alas Rick Wright passed away a few years ago, only 64 i think, and Keith Richards is still kickin' it. go figure.

Rick Wright was 65 actually. still too young.

They did play one more time at "Live 8" in 2005

"One of these days" from "Live at Pompeii"
