Twitter for the Escorting Industry: Advice and/or Suggestions please : )
Hello!
I was wondering how you gentlemen feel about using Twitter to meet ladies in the industry.
Do you find Twitter to be an informative resource for selecting a lady? Why or why not?
For the ladies that use Twitter, do you find it to be an excellent way to communicate with your clients?
Any comments or experiences with Twitter would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks so much,
Erica.

I have yet to figure it out, mostly because I have never seen the need.

Short answer is, I don't use twitter to find providers. Never even crossed my mind to try. My dance card is full enough for my budget and time with just ECCIE and P411.

I work in a secure area where you can't even have a cell phone on site. Because of this, I really have to be discrete. I never play too close to home. Always delete email messages. Have to cover my tracks at all time. Also, I really hate to be so connected to every and any person that thinks I have to respond to them whenever they want. Sorry, but that's just me. I guess I just don't know how all the posters on this site have that much time. And yeah I know, I'm from another generation and probably seen as a old fart. But, I like you!

I'm from the fb/twatter generation and I honestly don't see the appeal. Seems like a giant circle jerk to feel validated to me, especially when it's basically a stripped down version of fb with a set post character limit.
If people use it to stalk their friends or for hobbying, more power to them.

not going to use twitter or Facebook for hobby. If someday we are forced to give up sites like this or p411 for whatever reason I might but I don't like the idea of having to create a second account for Hobby on a social network. Of course there is no way I am going to use my actual accounts for them. I also really don't enjoy tweeter for the most part. I use it some but I don't see reviews or referencing as very easy to do on twitter.

Erica,
Not yet but it makes sense. Privacy settings on Twitter allow updates to only be seen by followers, who you can approve (or disapprove). Thus its a great way (in real time) to let your circle of followers know you are in town or coming...
Also a providers tweets are engaging, then it helps build the "brand" associated with your provider name/handle... Anything and everything to get exposure seems helpful.
The big advantages of twitter lie in the future when location-based apps become available, where hundreds, or thousands or tens of thousands of providers can be seen (rough location), in real time, on an active constantly updated map.
Its the future, prolly. So you at the cutting edge, looks like that.

I use both twitter and facebook but have separate accounts as a provider. I find it fun to engage with others and I've picked up a few clients along the way.

I use Twitter as a tool to communicate with various companions across America and to elaborate sometimes on the hobby.

I created a twitter account last Spring a year ago. I don't do facebook in my personal nor private life.
I haven't found Twitter to help me, business wise. But it's interesting to link up to other sex workers, and related areas, and I do learn from it.
Not sure that it's any good for actually meeting men in out realm.
It's certainly a personal decision to make. If I had to do it over again? Just a maybe. Not sure.

As long as the provider is able to ensure her business doesn't seep into her personal life on Twitter (the two just dont mix) all should be fine.

We have a handful of ladies who use Twitter in the Denver metro area and I find it informative. I have been hit up a few times from touring providers letting me know when they are touring Denver. I do find this feature very informative. If it's done right, Twitter is a wonderful resource!

As an aging 'Boomer I don't fully understand Twitter (and so don't use it).
But, what about a separate twitter account unser your ECCIE handel?

Twitter is a great source to understand people and to be understood. Like most resources available to companions, I don't have the time to 'do it right'. But I've met some wonderful gents on Twitter. I don't do much with FB, but it's definitely necessary for international travel.

I find twitter to be an excellent resource... I have a feed in a few places on my website, and I update my availability and post photos and vine movies on there. You don't need to log in or even have an account to see my postings, since they're on my webpage.
I don't know that I would ever be comfortable, as a provider OR as a woman, with GPS tracking technology. That seems a little more stalker-supportive than I care to be.
