Default Corey Haim dead at 38

I was personally a fan of his and Corey Feldman's movies in the 80's. It's a shame really. I shall be watching The Lost Boys tonight.

Default WTF

WTF, why is it these stupid fuckers can't deal with their drug habits ? If you can't get clean at least don't OD. No sympathy here.

great child actor, but had a seriously fucked up life. I saw a recent paparizzi video of him and he looked horrible. Funny because Feldmen looks exactly the same.

Yeah he was really big back in the 80's and made some pretty good movies, but unfortunately he was considered a has-been with a BIG drug problem. Studios have problems getting A-listers insured if they have personal problems, so after his last reality show where he aired everything, he really did himself in. It's sad to watch someone with obvious talent go down like that.

I saw that too, he looked horrible.

Oddly, just a few days before he passed I watched one of the best things from 1985, "Silver Bullet". It was ridiculously hilarious with a bonus side of Gary Busey.

Another bonus side of Busey...

RIP Corey.

His first lead role in 1986 movie "Lucas" was one of is best. Think of it as a pre-"Rudy" movie.

A point for Johnboy for (a lame attempt at) shock value. You can always count on one character coming in a thread like this to let the world know he doesn't care. Whoopty fucking do!!!!

Sorry to read about Corey. 'Lucas' is as much of a classic as Fast Times At Ridgemont High.

Just to let you know, I wasn't making an attempt at any shock value. I've had more than one personal experience with drug addiction. Not that I've been addicted, but several close friends have. Dealing with drug addicts can be devastating when you are close to them. I found that I just had to remove myself from their lives. I don't know if you have ever had to deal with addiction ,whether it be yourself or someone close, but it will take a toll on you. It did me. My point was addicts can manage their habits and live fairly long lives. I've known several addicts that have been using for years and can function in the straight world. That's the exception rather than the rule. It can be done though. Every addict I've known was selfish and self centered. The Golden Rule of "do unto others as you would have them do unto you" never really applied to their reality. Done.
