Never in a million years. Not even if she hits you first, not even if she kicked your ass, not even if she called your mama a bunch of bad names. This is not a good idea.

If you hit back, use 1.25 or 1.50 times the force to let them know that they can either continue and get hurt or stop and walk away.

It is called a "Proportional response" and most people out there will take a step back when they are met with slightly greater force / power than what they dished out.

As a woman, I understand there are ways to settle a dispute without doing physical harm. I also understand that most men are stronger than I am so if anything I will do everything I can to settle a dispute without hitting.

I was also raised not to hit a man though I slapped an ex once. He took one look at me and walked out of the room.
