PM message read receipts.

Hey staff,
First off thank you for what you do. I know some call you Nazis, (sometimes I agree too), you all really try to just keep the board fair and clean, in my experience; based on the guidelines. I used to ref rec hockey on the side, I've lived what you do too; just in real life. Lol.
That said, I really would just like to know if it's possible to default my PMs to NOT request a read receipt?!? I know you can uncheck the little box before sending the message, but I seem to always forget after proofreading.
It seems creepy to me, as these girls are already living in a fishbowl. So when I send them a message, I could care less about when they read it. Id like a response either way, but it should be on their time, when they have a chance. IMHO

There's no "default" way that I'm aware of. I'm not quite sure I understand the rest of your dilemma. What difference does it make if you're getting a read receipt or not? Are you getting an email or PM saying they read it or are you just viewing the list of confirmed receipts? If you're viewing the list then stop looking at it. Problem solved. You don't have to look at it if you don't want to know about it.

They also don't have to acknowledge that they read it either. They can ignore the read receipt if one is requested and you'll never know if they read it or not. If they reply then you know they got it. If they don't want to reply they can decide to either send the receipt or not. If they respond at all wouldn't it still "be on their time, when they have a chance"?
