Nancy Pelosi Warns Trump Not to Re-Open the Economy and the Reason Why Is Obvious

With the United States beginning to flatten the curve regarding the Wuhan virus and things like deaths and hospital shortages coming in well under projections, the conversation on how and when to reopen the economy is heating up. As I shared earlier in the week, it’s time to get a plan together for how to get things going again soon. The American people simply can’t manage another month of shut downs.

Of course, politics must play into everything, which means Nancy Pelosi is “warning” Trump not to get things moving again.

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi told Politico Friday that she is considering keeping the House of Representatives out of session longer than the April 20th return-from-recess date, and may not bring Congress back until well into May — and she’s warned President Donald Trump to keep the country under lockdown even longer.

Pelosi would go on to say that she hopes the “scientific community” tells the President he can’t reopen the economy anytime soon.

Pelosi wants the country in economic lockdown much longer, she told Politico.
“Nobody can really tell you that and I would never venture a guess. I certainly don’t think we should do it sooner than we should,” Pelosi said. “This has taken an acceleration from when we started this. Little did we know then that at this point, we’d be further confined.”
She also suggested that Trump’s advisors rein the president in if he moves too quickly to restore economic function: “I would hope that the scientific community would weigh in and say, ‘You can’t do this, it is only going to make matters worse if you go out too soon.’”

The reason why Pelosi is doing this is so obvious. It’s a scheme to set public opinion up so that any deaths that occur after a reopening are blamed on Trump. Of course, in reality, there will be deaths after a reopening of commerce no matter how long we wait, but Pelosi desperately wants the “blood on his hands” narrative to be the conventional wisdom. That’s why she’s trying to appear as if she’s deferring to the “experts” when even the experts will never agree on such a topic.

Trump could wait two weeks or two months, but no matter what he does, Democrats are going to claim he took the wrong course of action. Because deaths are inevitable, they’ll have their fodder to scream “I told you so” while ignoring all the context of the situation. The truth of the matter is that we can not stay locked down indefinitely, though Pelosi and her allies will pretend as if that was a viable option.
Starting this week, Trump is forming a second task force to look at ways we can begin to mitigate the current economic damage and get people back to work. What they don’t need is people like Pelosi yelling from the cheap seats, and I’ll note that she’s doing so while stalling out relief for small businesses.
Regardless, no matter what the President does here, the media and Democrats will attack him. He might as well just do what’s right.

Who exactly thinks we should do it sooner than we should and what metric will tell us when we should? This is exactly what the new task force will do, make a recommendation. Ultimately it will be Trump's "recommendation" but not his decision, that will actually be up to Govenor's to decide as Cuomo made it clear to DeBlasio today when DeBlasio said he wouldn't be opening up schools in New York this semester and Cuomo told him that isn't his decision to make, Cuomo will make that decision and I'm sure he'll tell the President the same thing if Trump says we can put New Yorkers back to work and Cuomo says no, it's to soon for New York.

What Trump should do is keep the economy closed until November and cancel the Election. Polling places get too crowded, ect,ect. Democrats want to play politics with shit, alright. See if they like an EO closing the Polling places too just like the economy and everything else.

Best thing for Trump is to judiciously and strategically "re-open" the economy in parts of the country where it is safe to do so. Let people get back to work, and then let the Dems look like the losers with egg on their faces for being obstructionist and anti-jobs.

People die everyday from many causes. Violence, accidents and of course disease. If the shutdown was from another cause you wouldn't be thinking about death. That's the reason they used this Pandemic to do all this economic shutdown bullshit it's because people are inherently afraid of disease and death and they'll do anything to avoid it.
