Go, have fun and enjoy the crowd. But be cool. But limit yourself to just having fun and not working while you are there. You can work anytime: I wouldn't recommend it in Sturgis. Lots and Lots of LE, both open, and concealed. The jails fill up, and no one wants that.

Limit the fun to a little beer, listen to the music, meet people and everything is OK.

I used to do Daytona every year for many years. Never been to Sturgis. Daytona kicks ass so I imagine Sturgis does even more so.

I used to go every year but it's just too commercial now and LE has gotten way too mainstream. The parties we use to have are not allowed now
