In one hand, I'd give Trump credit for being in the only game in town, real-estate, where you can pretty much say any value you like as it relates to your value, and the taxes of the same. And you can write off any unclaimed or unrealized income against your assets. So if you renovate a property and aren't getting any income due to it being under construction, you have net losses operating income, and goes against the income on the income statement. And you could claim that the new income would be in a factor of 10-20x the original or real amount of income, since it's really subjective, but that's legal.

What I don't give him credit for is ever really being honest or truthful. He's manipulated his followers, his credentials, his income, his values and beliefs to align to a particular party, when he used to be on the other side of the aisle. He's a total chameleon liar, who literally grifted his entire life. Look at the wake of failures behind him- bankruptcy after bankruptcy, failed marriages, bravado chest beating to say look at me, look at me. Well, we've seen you Don-and all I see is a guy who will say and do anything to be in the spotlight, and to get his hands on any amount of money that he can.

Compare that to people who are really rich; they don't seek the spotlight, they usually hide from it. Warren Buffet doesn't beat his chest, and has plans to literally give away the majority of his vast empire. Others similar to him, don't go on TV to say how much they have; (not including the weirdo's on shark tank) but they don't need the validation. I am guessing that they look at the bank account and their businesses that are "still in business" and think..."that's pretty darn good". Humility and riches are not usually far apart. You don't hear Beyonce or her hubby talking about how rich they are; Cause they don't have to. They don't give a shit what you think, cause they are legitimately rich.

That said- I do think Trump's condo business is still doing ok- He gets to launder money through all sorts of banks. Those golf courses are going to be all worthless at some point. Hell, the PGA doesn't want to be anywhere near his properties. Why? Hmm...we all know why. You just can't get that close to a skunk without starting to smell like one either.
