That won't seem to do any good. The jackass was previously barred from possessing firearms early in the year.
BIG SURPRISE! HE DIDN'T GIVE A SHIT ABOUT THE LAW AND GOT A GUN.

Back in the early thirty's you could walk into a Gibsons hardware store and buy a machine gun, no questions asked, they didn't have school shootings back then. The people changed not the hardware. We have a people problem not a gun law problem.

When in high school out in West Texas, every pickup in the school parking lot had a rifle and/or shotgun hanging in the back window gun rack. People forget the past when making their stupid arguments.
Society has definitely changed because of many, many reasons, and fixing the problems can’t be done by passing bullshit laws. But, it makes people feel better because they did “something.”

Its way too easy for criminals and future criminals to get guns in this country. Thats a fact. Despite rising homicide and mass murder rates, our country's current policy seems to be for the producing and selling more guns under lax gun regulations. Our current policy is not working. Somethings gotta change and it should

Gun legislation will only make some people feel safe while actually making everyone less so because those who want to kill don't concern themselves with those laws and get guns anyway and kill people.
Maybe look at legislation that doesn't allow bail for crazy fucks. Certainly the charges he was awaiting trial for were serious enough to merit not allowing bail.
Instead though , he had another restraining order placed against him, which he broke and killed the woman.
Sounds like there could be a terrible country song written about that....oh wait.
Why not keep him physically restrain behind bars that he can't walk right through?

If more laws were the answer we would not have a opioid epidemic in this country killing 35,000 a year. Heroin has been illegal for decades and not available in stores, we spend billions a year trying to keep it out of our country with very poor results.

^^ Yup + wasn't that guy out on bond , and shouldn't have had guns anyway. ( The Liberals answer to all issues is more laws that don't work / or more tax's )

Our CJ system doesn't dare infringe on the civil rights of alleged criminals. Maybe justice should be a bit less blind. Innocent till proven guilty is a good policy. However, if there is enough evidence for an indictment, maybe let's not grant bail so readily. That's a good way to "cool off"

Sorry I understand the CJ system however my points were two fold . 1) maybe violent people should have high bond , or be held ( he was locked up on domestic violence charge , after his release he took out the SO later found under the singlewide)
2) More laws will not work , never have. However that's the only issue the liberals will demand ( same old story)

I built a rifle stock in woodworking class. Most boys carried a buck knife in school, many guns in cars out in the parking lot for hunting/trapping before and after school. Worst injury I recall is someone getting a bloody nose from a fist fight in the parking lot after school, no weapons ever pulled or threatened with. We have a software problem not a hardware problem.

If you get rid of bail, you’re going to have to amend the Constitution.
