Should The "Goodbye Joe" Thread Have Been Closed?

The "Goodbye Joe" thread was recently closed by a moderator. It was a popular thread that discussed somthing that everybody around watercoolers is talking about.

I think the thread should have not been closed. I am curious what are the opinions of others at ECCIE.

Well honestly I was surprised the thread was allowed to stay open so long given the rules on topics of kids and sex.

So not surprising that they did finally close it. Don't be surprised if this thread gets closed..lol

Yes!! i demand that the thread be re-opened so that we all can continue to post vindictive diatribes about yesterday's news! NOT.

as many know i was one of the most ardent supporters of Joe Paterno and even i'm losing interest in this brawl of words with no end in sight. Or no simple answers either. Time to let it go.

and the way THIS thread is going maybe this one should be closed too.
we can all "agree to disagree" on the subject but there's no point an any thread that degrades into a "word brawl"

It should NOT have been closed (will go back and read the mod's reason if there is one).

IMHO, it wasn't about the raping of minors so much as it was about current events. And even then, the "minors" discussed are now adults.

I think we have had enough here. This thread is bouncing all over the place, all of it surrounding a forbidden board topic.... which IS in effect in here.
